Hey all. I have a Mystic, level 30. Who is the first character I ever played in this game. It has been several months since I have played her for anything other than crafting. So I am interested in finding out what I need to know about her post-combat changes...Also, what spells should I consider getting at Adept 3 level? All my wards? Direct Heals?Lastly, what is some good gear for me to buy around lvl 30. (plus or minus a few levels is ok) I am still wearing a hideous matching of AQ gear, Emerald Hide and Gwar...Thanks for any info, been outta the loop playing a Guard and a Wizard.

First thing I'd do it try to get some handcrafted feyiron/feysteel chain for the places you are wearing leather bits, but that's just me. =) Big fan of wearing the heaviest armor you can unless it has some outstanding stats appropriate to class. You will take a hit or two on occassion if you don't group with the same tank all the time as they learn to deal with the agro mystics now general.

If you haven't logged in since LU13, you are going to have a few spells to choose as master 2, someone else was kind enough to post a listing on this forum. (and you;ll get another at 34 don't forget =) ) I personally chose wards and heals as my master 2's and then have been upgrading which ever I didn't chose (ward/heal) to adept 3. I also have all my slows adept 3 and next up are my debuffs (the ancients group one and the single target fallacy line).

Enjoy!

If you solo, I wouldn't worry about buying Adept 3s, just upgrade everything that you don't get Master IIs for with Adept 1s. You'll level so fast that it's kind of a waste of money unless you harvest and get the rare you need for it. If you are going to buy something rare, I'd say the most invaluable piece of equipment (for a soloer) is a rare crafted imbued wand... Can't stress enough how useful it is. I usually HO my two dots, ward if necessary then fire the wand. By the time the wand is done it's time to HO the dots again. After the wand if you have enough money imbued shield/breastplate/leggings. All of those procs really add up.

I didn't have imbued bp or legs in my 30s... just used the regular crafted stuff and didn't even upgrade my Fir wand and shield until level 40 (my woodworking never caught up to my adv level hehe). But got all 4 pieces when II hit 40 and noticed a huge difference. I soloed 30-40 mostly in Upper splitpaw tunnels and Harclaves fine with Adept 1s, level 20 rare wand/shield and regular crafted armor saving the money for Ebon and Cedar. I knew 40-50 would take longer than 30-40 and wanted to make sure I had good gear for that.

Edit: I'm starting to think about trying to get some Adept 3s... but I'm level 46 now, still soloing fine (although very slow as always). I am now to the point where I can start raiding/grouping with guildmates (I left the game for a while) and I suspect that some spell upgrades might be more useful in these situations.

Message Edited by Moonspinner on 10-19-2005 10:41 AM
