View Full Version : adventure vitality
<DIV>Maybe I've not been paying attention but it seems that I'm using vitality at an astounding rate. Last night I went from 89% to 0% in under three hours.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This increase seems to have started when I turned 50. I'm the only mystic in my group and no one else seems to have this problem. Any one have thoughts about this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

<div></div>I'm not sure how it works at very low levels...but at 35ish, vitality is consumed at a 1 to 1 ratio, meaning 4% vit will last 4 percent xpAt 45, this switches to about 1-2/3 or 1-3/4 to 1 ratioIt jumps at 50, and now at 54 and 55 I have been getting a 3 to 1 ratio. Yes, 3 to 1! That means 30 percent vitality lasts me for 10 percent of a level. All in all, it is next to useless.EDIT: Um yeah, I meant ratio, not ration. heh<div></div><p>Message Edited by Thatdumbguy on <span class=date_text>10-16-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:13 AM</span>
<P>Yep, hit 54 last nite and basically you can either spend 2/3 of the level without vitality or play alts. Luckily found some repeatbale quests in PoF that give like 2 % for the kills and 2 % for the quest so it acts like vitality, otherwise it would almost be 2 brutal to try and level.</P> <P>If you play a couple hours a nite its basicaly you can get like 3-5 % exp with the vitality and then i try and get another 5 % from repeatable quests andkills so ay 10 % a nite give or take gives ya a level every 1-2 weeks, not bad ......</P> <P> </P>

What's really depressing is working off debt at level 60 with vitality. Not only is the 1% display bug back for max level characters with debt, but you can conceivabely use up 100% vitality in a relatively short gameplay session and not even clear all of your debt <span>:smileymad:</span>. <div></div>

Why does debt matter at L60?

I may be mistaken. I think that vital is a straight add to incoming exp and is always 1 to 1. But as you get higher the mobs give more exp and you need more to level. This causes vital to go down much faster. You get .5% vital every hour at the top of the hour, whether you are logged on or out. When you are outa vital it makes doing quest more important. <div></div>

Vitality is basically a pool of experience points that are added to every single kill you make in a 1:1 ratio. At low levels, the amount of experience you get for 1 kill is so low that the pool seems to last forever. At high levels, the pool is depleted much quicker since the amount of experience per kill is so much higher. Scary to think about the scale sometimes.

I think so many people achieved high level's early in the game and started complaining about content, etc. that they made grinding level's all the more difficult at 50. Although, with new the XP for quests, I gain over 40% xp from DoF quests alone at 46. This was two collection quests, and some of the other quests in DoF. So questing is definitely worth it, but I'm curious if people are seeing less at 50+ for same quests. <div></div>
