Hi all,

Sorry if this seems elementary but I'm a bit confused. I don't have a clear idea about which Master II spells are on the same lines and whether the ward stacking issue has been resolved.

Could some high level people tell me which Master II spells they took/are taking at each level and why?

My gut tells me to avoid overlapping (e.g. taking two wards) out of fears of common lines and stacking issues so I was planning on taking one spell from each line, from highest level to lowest in the following priority order. Btw, I'm currently 42.5 so I'm planning my 14 - 44 selections.

Single target ward

Group ward

Heal

Slow

Buff (Ursine, omen, etc.)

This way I get a Master II in each important line with the most important ones being the highest level. Does this make sense? Is there a reason why I would want to take more than one single ward, group ward or slow?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Recast timers are all the same now. ie we have one timer for single target wards period. We have one timer for group wards period.

I have a few specific questions:

Do all the wards stack?

Are they on the same re-use timer? (group on one timer, single on another)

At 44, will I still be using the early wards?

My thinking is that if all single target wards are on the same timer and all group wards are on the same timer, I really only need the best of each that is available. If this is the case, it would seem like throwing in a lower level ursine or the heal would make sense. On the other hand, if they are on seperate timers and stack beneficially, I can see where it would pay to have all or most of the wards. I'm not challenging what you said, just looking for clarification

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but (as far as I know): 1. All single-target wards are on the same timer 2. All group wards are on the same timer Likewise: 3. All Minor Healing spells are on the same timer 4. All Arch-Healing spells are on the same timer ... and so on. It seems to be the case that all spells in the same line are now on the same timer. So, once you get an upgraded version of the spell, you probably won't be using the lower level one much (if at all) anymore.

They share the same timers. You won't really be using spells of an earlier tier any more. I took the minor heal, but that is only because I had the ward at master 1 and the minor heal was only adept 3.

Correct. One of the primary goals of the "revamp" was to "force" people to use their most current spell of the line in question. As a Priest, your primary function is to heal. Nothing else you can take or choose will affect your play on a day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute basis the way these Wards will. The only reason I was able to choose differently in my /respec was because I already had Master level Heals and Wards in the choices offered. Even then, I chose a group Ward Master. Pretty much, as soon as you get an upgrade now, it's better than what you had. This has it's pro's and con's. Frankly, I liked how spells grew with you, but that's all water under the bridge now.
