<P>Hmm, Weeping Haze or Sacred Aegis?</P> <P>As much as I really like the way WH soundsI cant imagine passing on the m2 ward?  Any screenshots would be greatly appreciated.</P> <P>Thanks</P>

Just as a Cleric wouldn't pass on a Reactive upgrade like this, it's exceedingly difficult to imagine a Mystic passing on the Ward.

Master 2 Sacred Aegis is 1394 points of warding, that owns, it is the only choice I'd consider. <div></div>

I'd second the suggestion to get Sacred Aegis. Weeping Haze Master II is something around 25% slow and 12 point debuff (not 100% sure, didn't screenshot), which is a nice debuff, but I'd definitely pick the ward. Haze seems weaker after LU13 anyway, though I may just be imagining that.<p>Message Edited by t3h_m0nopOl1z3r on <span class=date_text>09-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:25 PM</span>

<DIV>Just a few questions about sacred aegis:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) Would you only use this to cover multiple people, or would you use it for a single target?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) and, If you use it on a single target, is it as power efficient as a single target heal?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

I'm curious about that as well Stormbilly.  I mostly duo with a Monk and we're sometimes joined by a Ranger.  Very rarely do I play my Mystic in a full group.

<div>Here's what I think in response. I've got Sacred Aegis Master II now, and it's the spell I use most often - I just chain cast it. 1) I use it on a single designated target, and always the tank. Have to remind folks - particularly nukers - to let the tank get agro though. If I have to spray wards and heals to multiple persons, things get real hard.2) Power efficiently, definitely better than heals. The recast timer is the same as Rejuvenating Chant which heals for around 600 dmg, but the Sacred Aegis Master II wards for nearly 1.4K damage. In terms of effect, it's far better.Taffin / Lvl 55 Mystic</div>

<DIV>thought we were sopposed to get Avatar master 2?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ohwell. i would get sacred aegis master II myself. Now that wards actually work and do not draw as much aggro i love it!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now to get pearls and adept 3 everything else. heh</DIV>

I was thinking about taking the haze at 54 because of raiding. I'm sure another mystic will have the ward and I cannot stack it with them so one of us should have the best slow. I'm also thinking the adept 3 haze  will be just fine.

<DIV>Just a thought but could this information be added to the spell list sticky.   E.G.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000><U>39 - Pox *</U></FONT>- Deals disease damage over time to the enemy. <DIV>As far as the level 54 decision...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The ward is the way to go. As it stands for raiding you very rarely have more than 1 mystic per group. Your main tank with 2 other healers (mystic is 3rd) will be adequately warded for most encounters. However your secondary tank can use a mystic with the ward.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as the slow goes: While this is a good debuff it is still not up to par with hex dolls and other class slows. I am personally disappointed with this and only use it occasionally over the group slow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for the rest of the decisions:</DIV> <DIV>Lvl 14: Wards of Spirit</DIV> <DIV>lvl 24: Keening Haze</DIV> <DIV>Lvl 34: Runic Shield</DIV> <DIV>Lvl 44: Umbral Ritual</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Saramina</DIV> <DIV>57 Mystic</DIV> <DIV>Nektulos</DIV>

<DIV>At level 50 I still use the level 24 master slow on named mobs in a group and even on raids. Mana cost is next to nothing and it sticks on very high level mobs (highest I think I've used it on is a level 55 ^^^ epic). It's definately the one to get at level 24 in my opinion. I for one have gotten ALOT of use out of it.</DIV>

I agree with Moonspinner, taking Keening Haze at 24 is useful for a lot longer than Ghostly Ward is.  Of course I only found that out because I already had replaced Ghostly Ward when they implemented the Master II training.  I can see a level 24 mystic having a hard time passing up Ghostly Ward Master II.<div></div>

I also took the heal at 64, but I use it so rarely I feel it was wasted.Unfortunately, I already have the Master of everything else there except Ancient Avatar and well, none of our tanks really need stats.<div></div>

Had adept 3 Learned Healing, and I rarely need to cast it. Between Lethargy/Wrath it was a toss up, so I just went with the one thats used in more situations.<div></div>

<P>I took the heal also, and don't really cast it that much either.  </P> <P>Really, there aren't any clear winners on this one.  Like Bandit said, Ancient Avatar isn't that great of a choice, since your raid tank will likely be near the stat cap, and won't get full benefits.  Lethargy masters are pretty common, and the difference between M1 and M2 is miniscule.  Taking a damage spell for a M2 choice was, for me at least, not really an option.  </P> <P>So, even though I don't cast it that much, the choice for me was pretty clear.  The only other one that I would have considered was Lethargy, but the additional 1% slow isn't going to make or break anything. </P>

Yeah, at 54, the ward is the clear winner in my book.  Once you get to 64 though, the choices aren't as attractive.

<DIV>At 54, do not take the ward, well, unless you dont raid.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you take the ward, you arent making the mob easier for everyone else.  Debuffing a raid mob is the key to success.   Adding what, 200 to a ward.......that wont accomplish much as far as high end raiding goes.  Take the attack speed debuff for sure, if you raid.   If you do this, you also wont have to upgrade it come around next tier either. </DIV>

Banditman
07-05-2006, 09:59 PM
The Ward at 54 is the clear choice, even if you raid.In a raid, with any sort of class mix, the mob is gonna be hard against the debuff caps anyway.<div></div>

At 54, I respecced to take the Haze, since I had a master 1 of the ward.   Especially when fighting much higher level mobs (such as when I was main healer for a group in SoS when I was 55), the M2 lets you actually land the spell when a lower-quality one will get resisted. If I didn't have a master 1 ward, though, I would take the Master 2 ward.<div></div>

Yeah, I'm looking at taking the debuff at 54 since I picked up the M1 ward for a song. The difference between M1 and M2 ward is something like 40 points, not worth it IMHO.
