View Full Version : Suggestions to improve current situation

<DIV>Level 28 Mystic here. My take on what needs improved:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.) Slows and debuffs (specifically Keening Haze and Delusion) need their duration increased. Having to recast these spells 3-4 times during a fight is unacceptable. Consider doubling their duration to 1 minute to match Cry of the Ancients.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2.) Healing spells (Healing Ritual and Replenishment) need their recast shortened. Unless it's meant for me to spam Ancestral Ward over and over again instead of healing. Right now it's more mana efficient to just keep warding than it is to use my heal spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3.) DD's (specifically Grey Wind and Smite) were put on the same timer. Why? Is it meant for us to only have one DD besides the Mastery spells? It's extremely difficult to complete a Heroic opportunity solo now if you get any resists or interruptions.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4.) Heroic mobs are far too plentiful now. My friend (31 Guardian) and myself (28 Mystic) spent 3.5 hours killing 25 Firerock goliaths in TS for the Glyph quest because we were unable to find anyone that wanted to kill the heroic giants. It was extremely hard and difficult to kill these when I had to keep recasting debuffs. I had no mana to cast heals or my Giant Mastery spell most of the time. Just enough to Keening Haze, Delusion, Cry of the Ancients, Ancestral Ward, and then rinse, repeat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>These few tweaks will go a long way to making the Mystic fun to play again. My wrists are killing me from having to click so many times to recast buffs. The MOST any non epic mob should need to be slowed/debuffed is twice. I'm sure that our wards are supposed to be our main line of healing, and definitely more efficient than our direct heals. <div></div>

<DIV> So far my heals have been more effective than my wards as a level 40 mystic. Duration and damage absorbtion both seem too low. It would be nice if our wisdom would be used to add a boost to the wards and duration was stretch 15 seconds or more.</DIV>

However, honestly, if you are having fights last more than a minute you need to reconsider your group composition. You need some real DPS in your group. A group of 50's last night was dropping triple up 57, 58, 59 mobs in under a minute.</font> </div> <div> </div> <div>2.) Healing spells (Healing Ritual and Replenishment) need their recast shortened. However, using Wards is exactly what the Mystic class should have been doing for 11 months now. You don't hear Clerics complaining about using Reactives do you?</font> </div> <div> </div> <div>3.) <P>Although your suggestions are positive banditman, the ability to find the best DPS is indeed tuff and ends up having you sit forever with no group. And some ppl do like to solo or duo. The changes cannot, and should not be based on the maximum or best suited elites etc..</P> <P> </P> <P>=)</P>

I think Banditman's comments about adding dps were exactly on the mark. Heroic mobs are meant for groups which would need to include some dps. According to the OPs own comments, he was able to find content to kill that was appropriate to his group make up.

agree'd for the most part on the OP's list, wouldnt mind bear form haven its maul attack back, even at a cost to a con slot also placen in our haste once more. our smite heroic cheese has been nerfed, so its just a cheap wheel starter now, an no longer the HO SMITE SMITE we were usen to conserve mana. <div></div>
