Can't you run Prophecy on two people?

Yep. Prophecy on me, Prophecy on the MT. Master 1 is like +450 to Health and Power

I'm actually running Prophecy on a third person since I refuse to run Runic Talisman atm.

Banditman wrote: Prophecy on me, Prophecy on the MT.

I'm running the same way. Prophecy on me and the MT. Runic Talisman hasn't caused me any problems so far. I just have to let the tank know that there is a minor ward up on the entire group and that he needs to taunt early and be prepared to peel me if we get any adds on the group during a fight.
Message Edited by Tsark on 09-14-2005 03:30 PM

Yeah basically identical and using prophecy on the MT - on occation I'll put it on someone who keeps drawing aggro to give more HP (e.g. Wizard).

I give prophecy to myself main tank and the other healer in group. If not other healer i give it to the dps person. I do not use runic talisman anymore.

For all you guys not using Runic Talisman... you are losing our most important buff. Yes it can cause a few agro issues, but if you tank knows his [Removed for Content] from his elbow you shouldn't have a problem. This spell is healing 65(ad1) every 6 seconds mana free which is a nice backup for us. As soon as i saw it's effects i ordered an adept 3 of it and recommended the same to all my guild healers.

Please rethink using it. You'll be happy you did.

I am a defiler and agree it is a great spell for what it is no doubt about it. Our spirit of the badger line works the same way. But in a group of 6 I can not put it on. It is just way to much agro from it. And this is even with good tanks. They need to fix agro on it, other than that I love it. Yes if your fighting blue to white non heroics its no big deal, but when you start taking on white, yellow, even orange heroics you can not afford even a few swings for the tank trying to peel off you. And our deagro is every 5 minutes, can not afford to do this every pull.

So in effect a full group I refuse to use it as well.

Message Edited by NighthawkX on 09-18-2005 11:52 PM

If you are in an intense exp group, and one that has another priest besides you in it, I don't recommend running this buff. Mitigation buffs from priests don't stack for one, and the steady pulls of a full group can lead to misplaced aggro pretty easily. Don't get me wrong I like the little power free ward comin back for more every few seconds, but it's not worth it to me in most situations I've been in.

I drop Runic Talisman when I'm with my buddy templar, then run prophecy on the wizard or other healer depending on the situation. If I'm solo or solo healing, RT stays up. It's very manageable once your tank is informed.

People that were "Good Tanks" might no longer be... it is a totally new ballgame out there. Tanks that have evolved with the new changes make the agro from this hardly noticeable.

Plain and simple... if the tank does an area taunt FIRST no matter what, problem solved.

Prophecy on one extra person is nowhere near as powerful as the ward on this without the mitigation buff.

You keep acting like its no big deal paisan. But what about an add, or a pop right on group. It might be a few for the tank to recognize it and his aoe taunt might not have refreshed yet. Being always the first target is bad for a healer period. Especially when the cleric and fury subs are not having to deal with this. This makes us a less desired class to be grouped with as many don't want to have to deal with the healer being whiped. And getting adds isn't always the tanks fault etc it happens all the time. If he has to spend 10 seconds trying to get them off you its not a good thing. If you are using your casted wards I understand the hate from them and can manage. But this buff needs the agro portion only fixed, nothing else needs to change on it just the agro portion. And in a lot of groups fair or not you look like an idiot for always getting agro, and it becomes a blame game between you and tank of who's fault it is. I don't need the aggravation.

I love the revamp for defilers, I think its great. I love the concept of this spell and want it to stay as is. I just want the regening ward to only regen if it has taken damage. If everyone has full ward up than it doesn't need to tick on them. This lowers the agro from it and fixes it hopefully. I do not want the spell nerfed in any way. But as it stands I can not take the risk that this spell causes. And evidently I am not the only one. Just because you found a tank doing a good job for ya, how many adds have you gotten not in original group, how many times is it a multi mob pull. And why should the defiler even have to deal with this in the first place. I understand the higher hate in the game now, and I can adjust with my other spells. But this one I cannot unless i am solo or maybe one other person. More than that its a nightmare in the makeing. I have also grouped with many other mystic/defilers with my other characters and watched them get smashed over and over till I told them to remove it. And poof no problems hardly at all afterwords for them.

I think we would all appreciate it not generating aggro, but it is completely able to be dealt with. Adds happen yes...but there are several tools that fix the problem instantaneously on our end and the tanks. Group taunt, Rescue(it works now, and well) and our aggro reducer.

I think we would all appreciate it not generating aggro, but it is completely able to be dealt with.

Yes.

It would be nice to be toned down on agro a little i never said it was perfect. What i did say is that the ward given by the spell is too good to be traded off for another cast of prophecy.

Do i get hit when there is a add/pop and have to tank it a second? Sure. (having the 65pt+ ward on me helps at this time as well) This is also the spice of the game... react good and survive, react bad and die. If the tanks AOE taunt isn't up when it happens ill have to tank a little more. What happens when the mage gets an add and i just popped my single ward on the tank? Same thing... react. I have found oberon good for these times. Im sure there are tanks out there that have a plan B as well... the good ones atleast.
