Hi, with all the changes happening here and there, I just wanted to inquire about our role in raids right now. [1] What buffs are you currently using in your raids (no need for Runic Talisman because of the aggro?) [2] When Mystics are in a group other than the MT's group, what do they do? (heal and ward MT while buffing Sub Tank? ) [3] What's the mitigation percentage on the wards? 50% of your total mitigation? Our guild has some raids coming up, so I'm asking if anyone has raided in beta or after LU13 if they could supply with some answers please :smileyhappy: And about the second question, I never played in any place other than the MT group (except when we're doing easy targets like King Zalak, AL, Drayek, etc)....so I was wondering what everyone else does when they're in another group Thank you and regards.

DarknessScythe wrote: [3] What's the mitigation percentage on the wards? 50% of your total mitigation?

Based on my very unscientific testing, it seems the target's natural mitigation (or something close to it) is used.

Like others have said, the Runic line is still great, and it shouldn't be a problem if the tank is taunting to get agro.

Wards should mitigate damage equal to the target's mitigation. For a well armored tank, that would be 80% (for an even con mob)

Prewarding is out the window now though. Don't do it unless you have a death wish.

1) Standard concentration buffs, since we have 2 more concentration free now i ran prophecy on the tank and one other (myself at the time, noone else needed it more). 2) We assign who's warding based on the raid layout with other mystics, i buff an offtank if they are in the group, a DPS if not, and straight heal, so far. 3) AFAIK thats equal to the target's mitigation. As far as not warding on the pull, I successfully used a ward pre-pull on my tank on 2 x2 epics and a x3 tonight. Nothing earth shattering, but I figured better to figure it out there then a x4. In a group, I've had no major problems warding prepull. This could be due to the fact that the tanks in question have masters on their taunts, I'm not really sure.

My thought on 3 is that our wards don't really have much to do with mitigation as such . Other then the amount of time they are up would be relative to the targets own mitigation-avoidance. ie the higher mitigation and avoidance the lower the damage that the ward is absorbing will be and the more hits it can take.as of LU13 the tank will use his/her mitigation then our wards will absorb whatever damage gets through.
