Another ward warning

I can't recall any of my wards ever preventing damage from falls... but I'm mid level... maybe a higher lvl ward has (or HAD) that ability.

Maybe I am mis-remembering, but I thought they did previously.  If I am the only one that thought they did, there's a good chance that I'm wrong. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Wards have never prevented falling damage as far as I know. I tested it once. But wards block chest trap damage and, surprise, also damage from manastone.<div></div>

I can confirm that wards have never mitigated falling damage, at least from launch in November, on. <div></div>

I just read on the Guardian forum that wards also cancel a vital ability of the Guardian's Maddening defence skill.  It seems that with wards on a guardian, it inhibits the maddening defense spell from procing its hate generation spell.  So, ward is on guardian= the hate proc from the maddening defense skill will not fire= the guardian will not build up aggro from the encounter as well.  I just wanted you all in the mystic's forum to know.  This is from a post by tunabash on the guard forum.
