At level 50 he is still rough. Yeah potions would help (e.g. raise HP, power, etc) but the pit champion, from what I've seen, is a shaman type so he wards too and dots you with poison I believe so if you have the cure use it or else your HP will dwindle away. Make sure your buffs are up and also pull with a sta debuff to lower his health some. If I am not mistaken he uses pierce so you could also check the broker for any items or armor that increases your def against pierce...or was it crush...bah!

Message Edited by vicarious on 09-05-2005 04:26 AM

I think he actually dual wields a spear and a crusher. (yeah, wish my shaman could do that :smileyvery-happy: )

One thing I found to help is to use potions. Clarity potions, + stam/hp potions, stuff like that. I also used an imbued wand for some power free damage while he burned his power out on my wards.

Depending on your finances, have really good armor is also something that helps. The more legendary gear you have, the easier it becomes. (call me mr. Obvious)

Even just a regular imbued chest, legs, and shield along with an imbued wand (not the rare version), would probably make a big difference when combined with good potions.

These are just some thoughts.

Im not a Mystic, but I can say a few things ^^. He doesn't duel wield, he has a spear and one of those censor things. The real key is to Cure Noxious everything he casts on you, cuz he drains power and hp pretty fast. Make sure you use the single target cure noxious, not the group one (power drainage). Keep him debuffed, HO with 2 dot's or a dot and smite, and keep yourself up till he is out of power. Don't cast a single hammer iconned spell unless you have an HO going, cuz you want to get as much free damage as possible.

There are two versions of the Pit Champion, one is chosen randomly each time you get to him. One is a defiler. One is a bezerker.

I was able to do this with imbued fulginate chest / legs/ spear, and an imbued cedar buckler at level 45. App spells were adept 1, so nothing too fancy.

Make sure that all of your debuffs land, especially the XXX of the ancients. It will debuff resistances, and make your dots more efficient.

I cast HO combos of icy flames and pox, alternated with smite HOs. Power conservation is key. No direct damage spells other than smite (and only there when using HOs).

Plan on a long drawn out fight. I have seen many people just sit back and go strictly defense until he burns all of his power. Cure the Dots, and hope for the best.
