Don't know about you guys but im getting really sick of salivating at the mention of combat revamp and having it delayed yet again...

Blackguard:

To ensure that the combat changes all go in at the same time and to avoid potential complications, we'll be releasing Live Update #13 along with the first expansion, Desert of Flames, on September 12, 2005.

Message Edited by paisan on 08-03-2005 10:59 PM

Yeah, I saw this and was coming to poast it myself. Looks like a few of you guys beat me to it.

On the downside, I detest that we have been brokens since release. I hate that our Haze line was gutted. I hate that when doing anything remotely challenging, it is practically necessary to have a second healer in the group.

On the upside, the revamp will be on the test server this week, and we will start seeing information about it. Of course, without the ability to copy our characters over there, there will be little first hand information that actaully gets out.

This burns my butt to no end... broken promise after broken promise. Not even convinced at this point that they'll do anything with our class and our wards after all.

I think these combat changes are gonna [Removed for Content] some people off such that some folks will actually quit over them (I don't mean ME, I wouldn't quit... reroll maybe, but not quit). So it makes more sense for SOE to release them with the expansion. This ensures more people will buy the expansion before discovering they no longer want to waste time on a character they no longer enjoy playing. Shame on SOE for not fixing EQ2 prior to releasing expansions!

Sorry for the rant, I'm full of sour grapes today.

Message Edited by Arfiniel on 08-04-2005 07:25 AM

Well it has been stated that the revamp will not be a part of the expansion (would be impossible to impliment it that way) but will be released at the same time as the expansion.

Any way you slice and dice it... it really doesn't leave a nice taste in your mouth.

I appreciate the thouroughness andattention to detail that they are claiming to have put into the revamp but i think that it will be hard for the SOE team in general to revamp the game while releasing a expansion... sounds like they are spreading themselves thin and that leads to needing things like a combat revamp in the future which is definitely no good.

SOE kicked us to face once again. Lies after lies and lowest level customer service I have ever seen. When #13 comes with expansion they are better be good, VERY good, if they are not it is bye bye to Eq2 for me. My patience with SOE lies and customer support is getting very, very thin. And when I leave I make sure that I will never again buy anything with Sony or SOE in it. Both have proven themselves to be full of incompetent persons in development, pr and customer support. And yes, I am testing other choices for Eq2. Next candidate has been ordered. One of them is bound to be more fun than Eq2...
