Well, the first thing you should do is start your armor quests. You get them from the lady under the tree in south qeynos by the north qeynos zone door (Sorry I can't remember her name, but it starts with a "S"). You'll gain some levels doing those quests, and after that I'd start hunting giants, or doing general quests in thundering steps. You should probably start the dwarven work boots quest too (which starts from a guy in the keep of the ardent needle). You could also get groups for stormhold, or start splitpaw.

As for spells, at least make sure all your spells are app IV, and if you can afford it, buy adept 1 spells. Don't worry about buying expensive gear yet since it will all be replaced once you hit lvl 30.

These are just a few suggestions. Good luck.

Take the armor quests with a grain of salt . . . or, more importantly, consider your server. If you are on a high population server, and don't have any trouble getting groups, by all means, do the AQ's. If you have some trouble getting groups, just go get pristine crafted armor. The AQ's are very specific quests and not always easy to complete.

As far as spell upgrades, if you can afford them, get your level 10-20spells upgraded to ad1, if not ad3 (20g about it will cost you, if you can scrape that together) as your heals/wards from those levels have independant timers, and as such can be used up until level 50 without conflicting with any of your new spells. For your 20-30 spells, just get app4/adept1, they will all be replaced soon enough, and the difference in quality is not that great going any higher. Armor Quests are great, if you can find a group, as they provide kick-butt armor and great exp (both for the mobs you'll kill, and for the quest turn-ins) But, are unnecessary in the long run, for the most part, just grab any medium armor with high +power or +wis (Stamina and Agi are a secondary goal but not as important) Or, if your into only grouping, by all means get light and v.light peices with higher +power or +wis as all you need is a high power pool to serve in a group. I myself love soloing so i wear nothing but medium ^_^ (with the exception of my gold efreeti boots, they provide power regeneration, but, can only be used at higher levels)
