<DIV> <DIV>Our guild is small and we dont have the evil class healers at our disposal for testing.  We are testing buffs with a templar, warden and myself.  I would like to know what classes have the best tank buffs ie... hps, sta, defence, mitigation, avoidance.  Initial testing shows that the warden didnt provide much hp impovement.  Are there other classes like monks, rangers, palys that should be in the tank group?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was in a raid with another guild and I inspected the MT and his gear was good but not tremendous and he was sitting at 8000 to 8500 hps at pull time.  Our MT has gear that was definately as good but we can only get him to 7200.  I need to know if there is some buff setups we are missing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance,</DIV></DIV>

<P>If you want to maximize hp and defense, you don't need a Templar in the MT group unless you also need arcane resists for a given raid. You want a Warden in the MT group because of Duststorm. I believe one of their group buffs also has melee resists added, which is great for a tank. You of course are going to want to maintain Avatar and Aqueous Spirit on the MT. Also I should mention that since the hp, power and ac buffs that priests get do not stack with each other, you can choose to let the Warden maintain these buffs, and throw Prophecy on the MT, unless of course you need noxious resists, in which case you should keep Eidolic Mettle and Prophetic Shield up.</P> <P>As for who else to put in the MT group, it can be a matter of preference. I would suggest that you ask your guildies about any beneficial buffs they have that might serve well in the MT group....I'm sure we all know our own class a bit better than we know others'. Troubadors, Conjurers, and Berserkers make good additions. Many combinations have worked for us and other raidnig guilds in the past, you just have to find the combination that fits your roster and purpose :smileywink:</P> <P>Regards,</P>

<DIV>Our general raid setup has </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guardian</DIV> <DIV>Templar</DIV> <DIV>Warden</DIV> <DIV>Mystic</DIV> <DIV>Zerk</DIV> <DIV>Troubador</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>we switch out the troub for a dirge or necro if we needed the different set of resistance buffs. If we need heavier elemental resists and not as much of the melee mob resistance, we drop out the zerker or the mystic and add a wizard. This has been our set up for a while and it has worked for us very well. I'm sure that other guilds have a lot different setup, but this works for us very well.</DIV>

<div></div>the most common buffs I use on a MT in raid are as follows: Runic Talisman, Prophecy, Ursine prophet and Spirit of the Elephant, the 15min buff Avatar will add a hundred or so HP as well. A representative from all 3 priest archetypes, berserker and a bard type are crucial to maximize tank HP as well. The best results ive seen thusfar are from this combo: Troubador, Mystic, Warden/Fury, Templar, Berserker and Guardian, with sed combo we have achieved in excess of 10,000hp on our main warrior. Hope this helps, have a good day! EDIT: FYI don't be dissapointed if you cannot produce these results, as 90% of the buffs of our main representatives of the above classes are Master I, and apart from that, our MT is in nearly full fabled armor. However, 8500+hp should by no means be out of reach for any guild with a proper class setup and a handful of Adept3. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Khilendel84 on <span class=date_text>07-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:57 PM</span>
