I have one ruby for an Adept III, but which one should a lvl 48 pick? I am think about Ursine Prophet Note: I have Spiritual Healing as a Master I, so I heal around 933 with that one. <span>:smileywink:</span> <div></div>

Ursine Prophet is one of the worst possible choices. Rejuvenating Chant for the win. <div></div>

Just curious why it seems unanimous to choose rejuvunating chant over enlightened healing (a much bigger heal and it casts faster). Maybe I haven't had enough coffee and am missing something obvious :smileyvery-happy:

Yes. (/hand over coffee, black, non-decaf) Rejuvenating Chant is perhaps the best heal we have.  No, it isn't as fast as Enlightened Healing, and it in no way can replace EH when you need a huge chunk of health restored . . . however . . . RC has a 2 second cast and a 4 second recast . . . . EH has a 1 second cast and a 13 second recast. RC heals for 672 at Master 1 . . . I don't remember what Ad3 was, sorry.  EH heals for 955 at Adept 3. So, in 13 seconds, I can cast EH once, or RC twice.  That's 1344 HP vs 955 HP. When cast + recast is considered, RC is actually a "faster" heal. What REALLY rocks is to put the Splitpaw Heal on one key, RC on another and chain cast them.  Once you factor in the recovery time, you are basically not waiting at all for recast timers, just chain casting these two for over 1000 HP of healing every 4 seconds.  That ROCKS. In a raid setting (read:  with Enchanter buffs) I can keep that up for about 90 seconds . . . . easily.  It can give the Templar a chance to recover some power in certain situations and perhaps save the raid.  Two Mystics doing this can be a very very formidable block of healing, to the tune of 500 HPS, the counter to 500 DPS of damage. <div></div>

Generally, I'd have to agree with the above posts, since you have your tier4 "big" (1-second cast 13sec recast) heal master1 already, that heals about 20pts less than adept3 enlightened healing (954pts) for a lower mana cost, You can use that in lieu of enlightened until you find the master for it. Replenishment also cures noxious, which, wihle you might not find too big a gain, can definitly help, combined with the better power/heal ratio, its definitly for the win. Generally your heal burn should go like this (for a big heal, or constant healing) Enlightened healing > Healing Ritual (get those cast first so those 13seconds start depleting) then follow with Replenishment, and your tier2 2second heal (can't remember the name, heals for about 300pts ad3, definitly worth the 20g upgrade), Recast replenishment once (after casting the other 2sec heal replenishment has only about 1second left to recast) and by the time that spell finishes, your big heal timers have expired, and your ready to start teh burn over again <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Now, this may seem like alot of healing to you, but, trust me, if your an only healer in a group, or healing in a raid situation, burning skills in this way is the win, fo sho, any mystic who raids/mainheals will agree <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<P>If you have splitpaw, you would probably be better served by casting bounty of the virtuous, instead of Totemic aide (the "other" tier 2 spell).  Definitely more healing, and probably more efficient too, although I am not looking at the numbers right now, so can't tell for sure.  </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

You are correct, Terq, Bounty of the Virtuous is a more powerful, as well as more efficient heal, with a slight chance to give power back when cast, and is a fine replacement for Totemic Aid, I'm just a cheap bastid and didn't buy the Adventure pack, and, my oppinions are based on such ^_^;;; In fact, in many cases you may wish to switch the order of your burn to: Enlightened healing (or spiritual since you have master) > Healing ritual > BoV > Replenish > BoV as the power-regen proc on BoV could be potentially very helpful, and, the heal amount is only about 100less than adept3 replenishment, however, if you have master replenishment, by all means, go with the original Replenish > small heal (BoV or Totemic Aid) >Replenish burn. BTW If you have any questions regarding raid burns (debuff strategies etc) I'm more than willing to assist you ^_^ <div></div>

<DIV>Call me crazy but hear me out... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you have one ruby to use and the only other spell you have adept 3 on aready is Enlightened Healing then with the combat revamp right around the corner and wards about to be "Fixed" or accomidating mitigation i would personally hold out to use the ruby and wait to possibly upgrade *gulp* Ancestral Aegis as if wards were to take into account mitigation they would be WAY more mana efficient that direct heals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Combat changes arent due for a month and 9 days. Moorgard announced today that we won't be getting any major live updates until the expansion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really hope these are something to be impressed by, as we've been promised a combat revamp for MONTHS now, and they've pushed back they're deadlines more times than, dare I say, a Blizzard release.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A month should be plenty of time to get another ruby for ad3 wards.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah....a real shame since we/I spent all the time in that shape ......</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess you don't realize  that if you are on a horse, then enter a house or a cave where horses are not allowed.  Your horse image poofs, but the horse spell remains in effect.  You can cast Ursine Prophet on yourself,  you will get the buffs, but not the Bear form.   When you leave the cave or the house, the Horse re-appears, but you still maintain the Ursine Prophet spell.   The Ursine spell line  is one of the best self buffs arounds for power and hits.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In simple terms there is no reason to run around looking at bear butt.</DIV>
