Ok, I've decided to get back into the game, and since I've never done the /respec I thought I would do it to get the 'group cure' spells. I'm currently 32, so does anyone know what they are and what would be the second priority: special wards or more wis/power? Thanks

I'd always pick more Wis over more power...I've never picked the group heal, never had any reason to it....I find it more like a nice to have thing. I made a mistake and picked that Zeal thing...a buff that has a 5% chance to deal an extra 5-8 damage....what kinda training is that????

Wakinya's Skin of Spirits at L20. Group Cures every time one is offered. Increase power POOL over power regen. There is an opportunity to go +5 to Defense, I'd take that. Seriously consider holding that /respec until you are L45+.

I've never done a /respec, and thought I'd do one yesterday since I only chose one of the group cures while leveling.

I got a message telling me "you're not allowed to do a /respec at this time" though, this was out of combat in CT... Any good reasons why?

Has to do with character creation date. If your character was created on or before some date in February (I want to say the 18th, but I can't swear to it) then you got ONE respec. If your character was created after that date, you have no respec available.

Another respec will be available for all characters with the expansion coming out in a couple months. I actually didn't take WSS at 20th which I regret. I'd say take what's relavent to your character now and look forward to another respec later down the road of your character's progression. In the end though, I agree with banditman on the group cures (nox, arcane and elemental). If you plan on experiencing any challenging content whatsoever, these traits are invaluable.

Regards,

Im pretty sure I saved my /respec and now that im over 45 I intend on using it.

I would like to get a spell name and the level the spell becomes availble. The only one I took was the last one. It is a very fast, fairly mana efficient group heal and cure. I use it mainly for the heal. Are the other group cures like this? Do they have a group heal component?

Thanks in advance

Message Edited by Mecrushu on 06-14-2005 02:14 PM

Spiritual Rarefaction has the heal component. This is the Arcane cure, the heal component is like 160 - 180.

McMannus Ritual of Element is the Elemental cure. It has an Elemental Ward attached to it. Well, actually it has 6 single target Elemental Wards attached to it. Very useful for Elemental AE's.

Arianas Salve of the Spiritist is the Noxious Cure. I don't believe there are any further effects with it.

Nevertheless, a Mystic who intends to spend any time playing at the end game needs all of these in their bag.

I recently respec'd at level 41 and decided to take AGI boosts over WIS. My thoughts were along the lines of how often my initial debuffs can steal aggro (feeling that it's important to land those STA debuffs on incoming for maximum "damage" effect), and how often I solo, for which AGI seems to help a lot.

I wonder if it's a mistake though, since maybe later in the game, AGI won't make a difference at all, and even having it maxed, I will still not be able to avoid a blow. The way I was thinking though, is that there are lots of items available to boost both AGI and WIS, and that choosing one over the other will eventually be a wash, since I will be able to choose my armor to get my WIS to 200 regardless of what I chose during respec.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the all input. But I'm curious as to why I should wait till 45, couldn' t I just pick up the cure's along the way, or is that I should pick up other things and then change them later on...is there a comprehensive list somewhere? Thanks

Because by waiting, you allow yourself to "undo" some of the other choices which you make and later regret.

There are many many many customizations you do between L1 and L50 in addition to the training choices. I simply feel that the longer you wait, the better choices you will make all around.
