Hey All,

Grombor the 40th Mystic again. I have all my illusion fun powers, hawk, beaver, and snake and was wondering if we get another Fun Power at 40th. On some sites I see a 40th Power for Defilers under the Mystic spell lists? Is this something we can buy from Freeport and use?

Haero's Aura Awareness

Anyone know if we get a fun power at 40th and where to buy?

Thanks

Pretty sure I got this from the vendor in the building across from where you bought Hawk illusion. On another note, don't expect too much. I thought it was crap and havent clicked it a second time.

I picked this spell up last night from a spell vendor in QH. When cast, I suddenly got a green glowing aura around me. A mage I was grouped with got a blue one. I am trying to make heads or tails out of what the aura really means, as it doesn't seem to do anything to any of the mobs we were fighting in Zek and Feerrott. Does anyone have a clue about this?

All priest type characters and mobs will have the green aura around them. The same goes for all mage type characters and mobs and the blue aura. Melee do not have an aura that shows up. There isn't much of a purpose for the spell (thats why it is a fun spell) but I have found a use for it when exploring new content as it can be useful knowing what type of mob is about to be pulled.

I know it's stretching it a bit, but that is a useful fun spell. While you can usually figure out which mobs in a group are casters and which are priests by thier name, the colors are handy. Unfortunately, the rest of your group doesn't get to see it, and since you're probably healing/debuffing and you're not the main assist or doing damage, you will probably not need to know which are which too much. That said, I do like to point out which mobs are healers so we can drop those first, though this information can be found out other ways (casting circle, name).

It is the same as the Special Vision Erudites get. Aura Vision. Highline Mage types in blue, an Priest types in Green. Only use is to help target Priests first in a group of mobs.

OK I did find it at the place across from the scribe in Harbor.

I would also like to say, there is nothing fun about a power that is not viewable by other characters. Unless I am wrong and other people see it.

I Can change the View if EQ2 anytime, I wouldnt call it fun. Just a little sarcasm.

Thanks

I actually found a use to the Aura Vision in Splitpaw.

As a Conjuror, going solo, I want to root the melee, and dispatch the priest, then the mage type. Sometime the name of the gnolls is not totally intuitive to tell what is what exactly... And it is not in the middle of a fight that I need to realise that the healer is actually that other gnoll.

Thus I cast invisibility, and get close. I target my melee type to root, and take note of the first healer that will drop. Get back to casting range, and dispatch the gnoll in the proper order.

Lacking invisibility, it may be useful to help a Mystic select target order in a more intuitive way once battle is engaged.

I see on most sites that mystics also get a fun spell at like.. 45-ish I think? Form of the great stag or something like that? I'd -love- to have a stag form to add to my lovely collection of shapeshifting. So I hope those other reference sites are right. Any confirmation from the higher-level mystics out there?

Yep yep - you get the Stag illusion. You can see screenies of the various Mystic illusion forms here if you wish:

http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=19&message.id=4448&query.id=0#M4448

Enjoy,
