Bad ward? Broken Logging? or just not rdy?

What i noticed in the log was Not a single time the Ward absorbed damage. I see absolutely no entry for "your ward absorbs n amount of crushing damage" or "Your ward absorbs n amount of cold damage". Now specifically, i see one instance of my Ancestral ward cast on MT and not but 5 seconds later the ward dissipates (drops?) and MT take 242 crushing damage. I will post the 5 seconds of the log if your really want to see it but... </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#ffffff size=3></FONT> </P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#ffffff size=3>W</FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#ffffff size=3>hat am i looking at here?? </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#ffffff size=3>do you see the same thing, that your log doesn�t post that your ward absorbs damage? </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#ffffff size=3>And why did my ancestral ward adept1 drop in 5 sec?</FONT></P></DIV>

<DIV>Log files do not record every single shred of information that could possibly scroll by from every group member or person in your vicinity. You will see the spell messages when it is cast and when it fades, but not the absorbtion of it on somebody else. From looking at my own logs, the only ward absorbtion I see is from when I cast it on myself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for how long it lasts, that doesn't really surprise me at all. At level 31, and fighting a named mob, 5 seconds sounds pretty good to me. This is the reality of the Mystic. Enjoy it whlie it lasts.</DIV>

I don't even bother with wards when fighting big MOB's like Varsoon, in fact I hardly bother with them at all. The only time I used them now is when I'm desperate and need something to hold off damage while a heal refreshes. The best way to heal a tank for Varsoon is to stand way back out of his range, run in and heal, and run back. It's the only way to avoid wasting mana on healing yourself. He resists a lot too, so you probably can't slow him or DOT him, so it's best just to save power for healing.

Yea, no doubt.  5 Seconds sounds DREAMY for a Ward. I'd cry with joy if my Ward lasted 5 seconds while getting hit. <div></div>
