<DIV>Does anyone know if a comparison chart of the various levels of spells has been compiled anywhere? I'd really like to look at my spells that way so I can decide which ones to buy adepts and which to wait for a higher level spell. Does anyone know if this has been posted anywhere?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, I was wondering about some of the Mystic spells. At 38 I just got the new Cold Fire (I think) upgrade and was extremely disappointed to see that it actually did a little less damage than my old one in Adept 1 form. I checked the broker to see what the new spell in Adept I form would do and found that it only does about 12pts more damage per 4.8 seconds than the old. (grumble)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question is this spell has no duration listed. Does this mean that it has NO duration, or was this just left off the description? With an unlimited duration it might be worth buying, but I doubt it. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>When you just get a new spell that is an upgrade, the spell you just got is always a notch weaker than the Adept1 version of the spell it upgrades. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The spell that is getting upgraded is (99% of the time) blue or green or gray to you, meaning it is already at the peak of it`s power, while the new one you got is orange, meaning it is at the lowest of it's power. The new spell should start surpassing it's predecessor in a level or 3, depending on the upgrade level you have on the predecessor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>No worries there, and no reasons to be disapointed.</DIV>

<P>So you are talking about a progressive upgrading that goes on as we level? When a spell gives a damage level range, isn't the top number still the most you can do? Even several levels later?</P> <P>For example if it says it will do 68-98 damage per 4.8 ticks I would assume that in lower levels I would generally get damage in the 68 range, while many levels later, would get more in the 98 range. Are you saying it would actually improve beyond what is stated in the description? </P> <P>If my newer spell causes me to be bumped back to the lower range for several more levels then I'm still not getting ahead by using the new spell right away. If the new spell does 75-112 damage per 4.8 seconds, then I'm going to be hitting closer to the 75 mark  for several levels instead of the previous 98 I was doing. right? </P> <P>Now I'm even more confused.</P>

After that, the spell will not get anymore powerful, but it will fizzle less, hit for max more often, etc. </DIV></DIV></DIV>

Blue spells and less don't fizzle at all.  I can't remember what update it was that did that, but it's been in for a while. <div></div>

I will take your word, as it doesn't really matter. Fizzle has never bothered me anyway.</DIV>
