<DIV>In reading the forums at work, I found out about the Haze line -which apparently was a single target strength debuff for 26ish- being nerfed.  For informational purposes, warlocks get (at level 2<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> a debuff called Curse of Null.  At adept I, it debuffs a single target both strength and int for 19.  After reading that the new "improved" haze debuffs for 6ish, the severity of the cutback seemed to me to be quite out of line.  Personally, I use this debuff frequently, though most warlocks I know do not.  Thank you for your time, and sorry about the nerf.</DIV> <DIV>(Note: If there is one single anti warlock flame- just one- I will follow the flamer with one stars until the end of his days. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Alezara- Warlock of the 34th Order</DIV> <DIV>Unrest Server</DIV> <DIV>Pandemonium</DIV>

Haze debuffed the skill of the mob, not strength. 5 points of skill is worth a level. Dropping stats doesn't do much, but dropping skills that much certanly has an effect.</P> <P>I'm part of the big? group of Mystics that think that haze was overpowered. I just wish that it had been fixed at the same time the did the rest of the balancing. Not before. It took us from bad to worse as healers.<BR></P>

<DIV>I concur... Haze line in itself was overpowered. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But it was the only spell that helped a Mystic keep up with healing. Thus that change really could have waited until the Priest balance. And the way it happened, beeing pushed to Live without going to test, with not even an acknowledgement until days later, was not handled very well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If that spell was the sole thing that trivialized end-game raid content, then simply flagging the spell non-epic could have solved the problem until Priest Balance maybe. The change in itself was necessary... Just maybe not right now.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Loralor on <span class=date_text>05-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:51 AM</span>

Haze doesn't land on the upper Epics.  It has a built in level limit. <div></div>

Because it could make tanks invulnerable to mob damage. Well, a reason more why this matter wasn't handled very professionnally.

That censor that drops in the Bloodline Chronicles instance that raises all casting skills by 3 doesn't seem to help at all either.

If you look at the spell description, it says what level mobs it affects. Haze is a little lower limit than Mourning Soul. For instance, I cannot land Haze or MS on Darathar ("Target too powerful"), but there are some mobs I can land MS on but not Haze, though I can't think of a specific example right now. Basically, just check out your spell descriptions to see it. <div></div>

<P>Yeah, it kinda sucks that those spells we get that are supposed to make up for our sucky healing aren't even useable on tough raid mobs. Someone needs to take another look at the upgrade progression of our spells. We don't even get a single target slow in T5, but we get the group slow, which while being landable on the toughest mobs in the game (provided they are slowable at all), would likely be too power intensive to maintain, not to mention the long recast time doesn't lend itself well to repeated resists.</P> <P> </P>
