Heiropant's Crook or Fireruned great flail??

<div></div>I bought fireruned great flail yesterday for umm relatively cheap :p can't remember exact stats now tho but are about like Fireruned great flail fabled damage rating 55.1 delay 2.5 stats we're pretty low about half what are in crook except hp/power rouhgly 40ish (I'll fill stats when I'll get online next time) Proc Flamebolt 5% chance 80-99(?) aoe nuke Looks pretty nice red great mace Hieropant's Crook legendary damage rating 50 delay 2.3 <span class="data-statplus">+9</span> Strength <span class="data-statplus">+7</span> Stamina <span class="data-statplus">+9</span> Wisdom  <span class="data-statplus">+9</span> Agility <span class="data-statplus">+40</span> Health <span class="data-statplus">+68</span> Power Proc Earthquake 5% 76-93(?) aoe Looks well erm staff with fat hook in the end Working on flowing silk sash at the moment and going to get second slayer ring someday soon. I was wondering which one would use? I haven't attuned flail yet so no loss there yet. If I make fast compare flail looks lot better, has higher damage and little more with added haste, fabled and little better proc. Crook on the other hand is practically free, stats are quite much better but don't really affect that much except that power with crook is quite much higher, crook tho looks horrible and I'm afraid that attack animation is in crook more than horrendeous.  I haven't done crook heritage yet tho and money really isn't issue here it comes and go so don't really mind spending some.  I myself mostly will use either one for soloing green/grey groups and perhaps solo green/blues as well. Normally will use screaming mace (when I finish it) + imbued cedar buckler or SBS. I've imbued cedar and working on screaming mace. These will be purely grinding easy mobs, group mobs that sort of stuff. <div></div>

Crook for greens / grays. We had a loot whoring session in RE one day . . . 4 of 6 group members with Crook . . . it was a little silly but fun. <div></div>

I would suggest shooting for a screaming mace / pristine imbued cedar buckler combo. However, the screaming mace quest can be extrememly frustrating, I think it took me an accumulated  total of about 48 hours to finish it. It has 6 bottlenecks...waiting for agony to spawn, waiting for despoiler to spawn, waiting for cenobite to spawn, waiting for champion to spawn, waiting for torturer to spawn, and waiting for terrorfiends to spawn + when one does, hoping you get the update from it. Another nice weapon is the withered totem of windershins which you can get by completing the heart of fear quest. This is way easier to finish than the SM especially since the ring event has been dumbed-down. <div></div>

<P>You should get 60g for selling the Crook in a town.  If you're offered 40g....keep looking.  If you do trade writs, you should be able to get 80g for it, as you have the wholesaler's favor.</P> <P>I don't use the crook and have been tempted to sell it as well.</P>

I attuned flail and went to test it. It's pretty nice one, hits almost 2x than my current 1h pinecrusher and proc wasn't bad at all tho should go more often :p Crook seems to also sell for 60g so not bad trade off as will use shield/1h most of the time.  Shame that even I have 127 str selfbuffed at the moment seems that it doesn't add to my damage at all except raises attack a bit. Anyways my melee damage with that aint too bad at level 40, 40+ with every hit practically (working on FBSS and second slayer ring), maul proc, blessed weapon proc, imbued pants proc, aoe proc from flail roughly 90ish.  I tend to melee always and solo a lot so very helpfull. <div></div>

<P>I use a pris imbued cedar buckler - as already stated fantasic.</P> <P>When soloing  I use a cedar flame imbued wand  (fireball) - free damage just use power for warding / slowing.  Sure it sucks at melle but 250-250 damage every 10 secs isnt too bad</P> <P>When i am grouped I use my crook</P> <P> </P> <P>Of course since i got the screaming mace the wand and crook have been retired.  Along with efereeti boots just sit there all day with stacks of mana.</P> <P>Even on raids by mace may not hurt some mobs but it still manages to proc and power to heal / slow is more important than the small amount of melee damage I can do </P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>
