Do not let this outrageous overnerf of haze become perminate. Most of us, myself included, do not mind haze being tuned down if, in fact, we are getting our healing ability fixed. But it was not simply toned down, it was outright butchered. I plead for you all to continue the fight. Do not sit idly by and let this happen. There is already a well established and highly visable thread here on the abilities forum, so no need to make a new one. I implore you all to continue to post there. Do not let the thread drop off of the main page. Do not bump or do anything to give SOE an excuse to lock it, but continue to post constructive comments there. Send Moorgard PM's stating your disdain and directing him back to the forementioned thread. Do not let them ignore us. A few ants biting at a person's leg is not much more than a minor irritation, but cover that person in ants and I garauntee they'll have his full attention. United we stand, Divded we fall. Fight! Fight! FIGHT!

Message Edited by disrupt on 04-19-2005 11:38 AM

Ah shaddap. You deserved this nerf and you know it! It's what you get for not choosing to be a templar!

What I think would be HILARIOUS is when "priest balancing" comes out, all the other classes get a big swat with the nerf bat, but then all the sudden the shaman classes are the "primary" healers~ even tho we're supposed to be equal but different.... Too bad there will be so few mystics and defilers left by that point lol.

/dream sequence off

FYI: I do not mean harrassing PM's, I mean polite, constructive PM's asking him to keep bringing the issue up to the devs.

Message Edited by disrupt on 04-19-2005 03:05 PM

Lets take a look at this:

Moorgard wrote:
Priest balancing is a part of Live Update #6, hitting Test server this week. Not only are we addressing healing, but also damage output.

Pushed back 2 big patches so far.....

I'll post full details when the spell guys are finished compiling the changes into a readable format.

I didn't know it took so long to translate code into text descriptions.

Most priests should be quite happy with these changes, as everyone gets some nice upgrades out of it. Wardens are having some spells reduced in effectiveness because they have some heals that are simply way too powerful. I have a feeling a lot of people are aware of that already.

"Most" is becoming less and less of a majority. Wardens are being nerfed, Inquisitors have been nerfed, and now we've been nerfed. That's half......

There are some code changes on the horizon that will better balance the way the different types of healing generate aggro, but those may be in Live Update #7 instead of this one. As part of that, we'll also be looking at the effectiveness of taunts, so it's a fairly involved process.

===========================MoorgardEverQuest II Community Guy

Just thought I'd mention that Moorgard posted again in that thread. Basically, it's the screw you that should have come with the original change. Doesn't have to make sense for them to do it. *$%#&!, I really don't want to cancel my account, but this is frustrating.

Fight, yes but for what? Being fobbed of with some vague info about coming Liveupdates and balancing?

We are constantly bringing up the issues of the Mystic class since how many months now and with what result? Having a moderatly helpful debuff fixed and a very helpful debuff nerfed - Wohoo... I'm tired of discussing the same problems of our class over and over again, I'm tired of watching other healers outhealing us, I'm tired of being told that my healing capabilities are sub par, I'm tired of being a hinderance to my group. I played a Templar in Beta and I started playing a Templar after release and I would have better kept it that way but no, stupid me wanted to play something more interesting.

I'm not playing a game to spend my time on the forums trying to get my class fixed; I'm playing a game to relax and have some fun, if I want to have endless discussions without results I go somewhere else - like politics. The balancing of priest classes would better be good and it would better be here soon [and NOT soon(tm)], my patience is limited and I'm starting to see the limit.

Message Edited by Theodore on 04-20-2005 01:04 AM

The only ones that will benefit from all this @#&(%# is the next generation of slobs that sign up to be "healers". They will have never known any better and will easily accept the status quo. I however, am giving this mess until the "priest balancing" act or mid-June when my current subscription runs out. At that time I'll decide whether or not fixes have been made, to re roll, or to cancle all together. I played EQ1 for over 3 years. At that time I created a shaman because my circle of friends needed a healer. WHACK came the nerf bat, and I assumed my role as back up healer and primary buff/debuffer. WHACK came the nerf bat again. I was quick to search out EQ2 to find new answers to play a shaman as they presented the Mystic class... I will not tear my hair out for another 3 years here.

Whoever thinks templars wont be best healers after priest balancing goes live may be mistaken,

There are 2x as much templars as any other healers on any server and probably as much as 3-5 times as eg defilers.

Those are alot of ppl used to being best of archetype. And paying for it..
