I've already got Ancestral Ward Adept 3, but got another jasper here the other day. So I am wondering what spell to upgrade to Adept 3. I read that Prophetic guard wasn't a good choice for an upgrade, so I am stuck between Spiritual replenishment vs Keening haze.I feel I need better heal spells as a mystic. Is Spiritual replenishment any good at all? How much does it heal? I've seen it has a low power-cost, especialy compared to Spiritual healing at lvl 32. Debuffs are always good, and I guess Keening haze will stick around many levels up ahead.Any thoughts?
<DIV>I still use Spiritual Replenishment at level 48. It heals right at 518 HP. I was lucky enough to find a Master 1 copy waaaay back when it was only 3 gold... Imagine that.. I paid 3 gold for a master spell (and I had to borrow money to do it). <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously though, I think you would be better served upgrading the heal spell over the slow. I have seen Keeing Haze (Adept 1) for sale quite a few times on my server. I doubt that it is significantly weaker than the Adept 3 version. But as for Spiritual Replenishment you are likely to be using it at least until level 41 (Rejuvinating Chant). I still use my SR though.. my RC only heals in the high 400s and costs more power. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>I have Adept 3 Keening Haze and I can tell you that it is the best single best upgrade I've ever gotten. More useful by far than my Adept 3 Spectral Ward.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The slow from the adept 3 is so effective that I can solo level 29^^ skeletal veterans in TS as long as the haze sticks. If it resists a few times I'm toast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also notice a huge difference in the damage the tank takes in groups when the haze sticks. I'm not really sure about comparative usefulness to adept 3 heals since I don't have any, but for me the haze upgrade was a very good choice.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Daric</DIV> <DIV>Level 31 Mystic</DIV> <DIV>The Old Guard</DIV> <DIV>Najena Server</DIV>
Gurayn,I'm assuming you meant Healing Ritual, not Spiritual Replenishment. Spiritual caps out at far over 518 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> On a side note, if Healing Ritual maxes out at 518 at Master 1, I'm kinda disappointed. I have it at adept 3 and it does 512.As for the main topic on what to upgrade, I'd probably go with the heal. They're more effective than our wards in the long run. Adept 1's of Keening Haze and Spiritual Replenishment are both easy to find however, so I don't think the choice will be game breaking <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Higher spell versions are thought to only decrease resist rates, which makes sense because higher spell versions technically increase the level of the spell vs. the target's level. It seems that each upgrade along the Haze line doesn't increase in power at all, having the same slow % and Atk debuff along the line. What does change however is maximum target level the spell can effect. I can't effect lvl 43 Nightbloods in RV with Keening Haze for example, but with Howling Haze (the next upgrade in the line) I can. So in the end I wouldn't necessarily use a rare harvest to upgrade a spell in the Haze line expecting it to debuff a target better, because it very well might not assuming what I know about the spello line is true.</P> <P>I personally will always upgrade my best direct heal to Adept 3 before anything else. From everything I've seen, upgrades to the direct heals almost always bring the most bang for the buck.</P> <P> </P>
<DIV>Rennyn, just to be sure I remembered correctly.. I just logged in and tested my most recent healing spells. <DIV>Yeah this new data does in fact show that higher spell quality versions of the Slow line does in fact increase the strength of the spell. I still think I'd upgrade a direct heal to Adept 3 before a 5% higher slow, but it definately puts upgrading the Haze line up near the top in terms of priority.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
