<DIV>SSIA: what is your role, in the end-game? Are you strictly healing, or are you allowed to do other things as well?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm asking for both raiding & regular grouping, if that makes any difference at all.</DIV>

In raiding is primarily healing. You can do dps if enough healers are in raid, but I sure wouldn't want my name on the dps parser if the MT went down.We also cure trama and other dots.Group invis is almost worthless at 70.In groups, again healing and dps. Depends on the zone, diffeculty of the mobs and if you are solo healer. Our primary function is to heal. After that you can do what you please as long it does not jeopardize the group.

<DIV>heal, cure, debuff & dps. i do it all in raids. there's a lot of times that im mostly just healin & curin because of the nature of the mob, but otherwise, if a debuff's up, i cast it.</DIV>

I'm a full-time MT group raid healer. My guild leader wants me in MT group for my buffs (especially Agitate), my group cures, and well... because he knows I'm good. Oh yeah... And I'm hot. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I am a raiding fury and 90% of the time I am in the mage group. I primary keep my group up and dps while waiting on Cast timers. I love my dps even though I would love to work on it more. Does any one know what the WORLD wide fury channel is by chance <div></div>

<P>I'm always in the MT group. This is mostly because of all the druids we raid with, I have the most experience. Plus, I attend almost all raids, so it's just easier to have the same MT group setup due to being able to work well with the same people all the time. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I mostly heal. On trash mobs, occasionally I'll throw out a nuke if I have time, but I'm almost always on cure duty so I have to watch out for that. I also debuff when I get the chance - especially Barbarous Intimidation on those [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] drakes in Labs, because the poor mages can't cast anything on them. The wisdom debuff helps a LITTLE bit. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Oh - and on the occasional mob, I'll use Urchin. I don't have to use it very much anymore because our MT is getting better-geared so on a lot of mobs, my heals are worth more than the additional mitigation.</P>

<DIV>Thanks much, all, that's about what I expected, but I wasn't entirely sure. I'm having a lot of fun with my own lowbie Fury right now -- level 13 Hobbit -- & am looking forward to getting up higher <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>Raiding 3 times a week and being one of the MT group healers im healing when nessicary, im always the one curing seeing the defiler and templar in the mt group already have long cast times so its better for them to keep casting heals and me curing the dots.</P> <P>I also debuff and throw arround nukes whenever i can.</P> <P>The faster the mobs fall the less healing is needed so any extra damage i can do is a bonus :smileyhappy:</P> <P>This is exactly what i like about my fury: we can do a bit of everything:smileywink:</P>

If I'm in the MT group, I spend most of my time curing, curing and more curing, the rest of the time is spend on group heals if needed else keeping the single target regen ticking along. If I'm in another group its single target heals on MT, curing/healing if need be (if someone gets agro its best to let them take the hit and rez them laster, though AoE DoTs can be cured and healed) and depending if you have a mana regen in group (bard / chanter) doing damage as well... else its twiddling your thumbs and helping the MT's Healers keep the MT alive (only using direct no regen unless asked to by MT healer). That's the raid sense, but in a group sense I can solo heal any zone except Nizara so we tend to put a 70 tank, 70 healer into a group together with a few lower peeps and run through instances with our guild helping to build up those who haven't quite yet got up to 70/50 and enough gear to join in the raids withotu being one shotted.<div></div>
<P>In our guild, on raids, I am never in the MT group. Our MT group healers are Templar and Defiler. Sometimes a Warden on something like the Turtle. I am usually in a scout group, sometimes a healer group, as solo healer. I keep my group up, help out with the MT if necessary, and spot heal for other groups as needed. I nuke and dot. Honestly, I'm kind of bored.</P> <P>I have discovered that my Fury makes an excellent power leveler for two boxing my 54 Swashy. :smileyvery-happy: Mentoring is awesome. What more would you want for a powerleveler? She can tank, heal and nuke like crazy. It rocks.</P>

For those of you that do a lot of curing as a job... do you find it boring? At least with healing, it's pretty much a wack-a-mole affair, which is entertaining for a while. At only level 23, I'm starting to dread the "sequential cure" mode I have to get into sometimes.

I barely cure, unless it is important to do at the time.<div></div>

In raid I am rarely in the MT group, so I don't do a lot of curing except in Deathtoll, where the Abolishment line is indispensible for getting rid of Tarinax's poison debuffs in a hurry. But in groups I do a fair amount of curing, especially in instances like Den and Nest, where eliminating trauma should be priority #1, even above all but emergency heals. A lot of healers overlook how deadly some of the status effects can be.In raid I am expected not only to heal through main assist, but also to keep my debuffs up. While they're generally a waste of power in a good group, against which mobs will die fast enough that you're better off casting Feast, Pyre, and maybe a nuke or two, they're great in raids or against tough named. And too many furies seem to forget that we have them. Barbarous Intimidation lowers enemy WIS and AGI, which lowers their resists and ability to dodge. Your single-target Swarm lowers their defense, and later you get an encounter Swarm that interrupts a group of mobs and lowers their casting abilities. Combine that with a hex doll and you can make a difference over a long fight. When grouping, be sure to look over the makeup of your group and distribute buffs appropriately. Assuming all your group buffs are up--which they should be--you have two conc slots available to distribute Vim (INT buffs). Those should go first to mages if you have them in your group, unless they're over INT cap. If you have an SK or pally in the group, they should get one next. If you have a slot left, give it to yourself; even if you're not nuking the extra power is nice. Thorns should of course go on the MT, and the Agitate (dps + haste proc) buff should go on your best melee DPS'er. Finally, when you hit 35 get Adept III Spirit of the Bat made for you. It should usually be on you, but if you have a MT who burns through power taunting, or a nuke-happy mage, you can switch it around for extra power regen. It helps a lot. While we're not the most sought-after healer type for raids, we are most definitely a viable and valuable end-game class.

<P>heal heal heal....cure cure...debuff... throw dps at stuff.</P> <P>A guildie tells me after a fury flipout ( a pair of macros that throw ring of fire greater bloodflow hibernation call of storms) wow - never underestimate a fury...</P> <P>I always save a vim for me <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I'll share the rest - but hey, it is my buff isn't it? I have two to pass around - so sharing one makes me as kind as i feel like being, and it makes up for having to make wisdom my primary stat for gear. Agitate on the best dps. 2 of 3 group buffs are masters. i still think savage feast and fae pyre are worth casting...especially in a mele dps group. Fae Pyre procs 250-300 or so for 3 hits - if 4 out of six are whacking at it, that's a bonus 3000+ damage...so why not? Savage feast is awesome when burning through a zone quick - makes the den a cakewalk.</P> <P>I always debuff the nameds. it makes all the dps hit better. My group master buff Carnal Mask is the same mit buff all healers get - but the hp regen makes us a better candidate for the mt group than most raids realize.</P> <P>What is making this game start to get boring is the infrequency of usable fury raid leather drops. Piles of cloth. Piles of Plate. Piles of chain. 70% of the leather boosts sta str agi....which are mostly useless to me and i won't sacrifice my stats unless i seriously need some particular resist for a particular mob.</P> <P>We need more better leather drops. Pretty please. I'm tired of helping everyone else get fabled out. I want my turn.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Visit me in holland m8, we got enough of the stuff to share:smileywink:</DIV>
<DIV>At raids im mostly in dps or secondary MT group, job is heal, cure, debuff and dps, but more dps if im in a dps group of course. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For groups well depends what other healer is in group, but mostly im 2nd healer, which i like, cause i can dps a bit more.</DIV> <DIV>Throwing in our overtime heals plus hibernation and then going on full dps is enough to heal most of the group, depends tho on the mobs you kick.</DIV>

<P>I heal, cure and nuke when able. I stay on the MT and heal when needed, watching the caster grp I'm usually in and nuke when i can. If someone in the caster grp draws aggro, they go down too fast to keep up, 9 times out of 10, so I usually wait til they are rezzed and heal and rebuff. But I either get tagged in the MT grp or dps grp.</P> <P>I usually loose atleast one caster a round, it's unfortunate, but a waste of power to start throwing heals on someone who dies so fast. The odd time I catch them and maintain til the tank gets control back, and if it's a x2 grp, I sometimes make the dps list if heals are not required.</P> <P>Athinu pass me some hehehehehe</P><p>Message Edited by CodeKiller on <span class=date_text>10-03-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:19 AM</span>
