What are HoTs and are DoT's?

<DIV>I'm a lvl 10 Fury and I don't see any DoT spells.  When do you get them?  I pretty much start the battle off with Intimadation, snare and then Heroic Actions for nukes.  I don't see many people talking about using HO's in PvP much...is that a bad thing to do?  Sry new <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Many Thanks!!!</DIV>

Hot = Heal over time.  This is our bread and butter heal. When cast these spells heal for an initial amount, then heal a set amount every few seconds for a certain duration Dot = Damage over time.  When cast these spells do initial dmg, then do dmg every few seconds for a certain duration. Ae (Area effect) or Aoe(Area of effect) these mean the same thing - we have a number of spells that utilize this.  Some affect mobs just within the encounter (you pull 3 mobs and the spell only affects those 3 mobs, not surrounding mobs - like Starnova) and some affect all mobs within a certain radius around you (if you pull 3 mobs and 2 mobs are wandering by, you will pull those extra 2 mobs as well - like Ring of Fire, or Call of Storms) Sow - Spirit of Wolf.  Porc - Porcupine <div></div>
