<DIV>I'm curious if Furies can solo well past level 40 in PvE. I ask this because of the amount of damage higher level mobs hit for. Since we lack root and our snare is virtually worthless outside PvP, I would think we would have to absorb a good deal of punishment against higher level mobs and we don't really have the mitigation for this. I have also heard it said that our intelligence buffs don't really translate to more damage as one would expect them to.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would appreciate any input you higher level Furies have in this area. Thank you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sparkle</DIV> <DIV>Level 18 Fury - Najena</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kaku99 on <span class=date_text>06-02-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:31 AM</span>
<DIV>i still solo in pve quite well. I've been able to kill the same time of mobs (anything that is yellow ,no arrow up or lower). I just don't mess with 3up arrow blues or harder. I've never been able to kill those because I run out of power from keeping myself up. Mobs that are blue 2up even give me trouble, but you don't really need to kill those for soloing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My solo ability in pvp has tailored off quite a bit. I can still win a good number of fights, but scout classes and bruisers. have gotten much harder.</DIV>

Furies make passable soloists past 50. Because of our lack of any kind of CC we have to pick our fights carefully. At 70, their are even a few green ^^^ mobs that give me trouble. Our lack of any ability to keep the mob from hitting you coupled with low Hp and low mitigation means we have to be careful what we take on. Unlike EQ1, kyting isn't really an option as the mobs are not snared enough and our spells just don;t have the range to cast and get away before the mob is within meelee range. <div></div>

I'm not sure if Furies are the 'best' priest soloers past level 40 (since I don't play other high level priests), but we are good soloers. We are particularly good at group encounters with our AoE spells. The general opinion is that other priest classes may be better soloers on single encounters.<div></div>

<DIV>if you dont factor in aa</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Warden > Defiler > Inquisitor/Fury > Mystic > Templar</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Once you have some of your aa's (25-50)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Warden > Defiler > Mystic > Inquisitor > Templar > Fury</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>AA's significantly improve shamans and clerics in regard to soloing, both are allowed "high" dps without even having to cast any spells (adding spells into the mix only helps). Druids gain a very minute bonus to soloing with aa's; the charm would help a lot if there were more animals around.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Furies are the low end of the totem pole because the heals are too weak to keep ourselves up against difficult mobs, the armor is too weak which certainly doesn't help coupled with the weak heals, no manner of crowd control whatsoever, no defensive capabilities. And the Wardens, even tho their aa's suck as well, will always be the top end because of double rooting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>fixt sum typos~</DIV><p>Message Edited by Goozman on <span class=date_text>06-02-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:55 AM</span>

Trying to deceide if a class is "good" at soloing also depends alot on how big of a mob you are trying to solo, how good your equipment is and how good a player you are.

Im at 53 now and I can solo a lot of different stuff. I use Porcipine and it has such a high mit that I may only suffer 20hp damage to a blue ^ a hit. Now for the big mobs I use my pet. I can charm a high level pet and take on some blue^^^. I have been using this quiet a bit since I got it and I really like and I wont hardly move about a zone anymore without it. So we can solo well and I would like to see if any other class can solo like I can with my pet.

I've soloed my Fury 85% of it's lvls and I'm now lvl 67. Grps do help you gain lvl's faster and get more loot. But I am quite happy going to guardian Isle and doing solo writs with no problem. Actually one of my guild mates is a lvl 70 Fury that can pretty much go where ever she wants in SOS and tank most mobs with some exceptions. Come to think of it, I've tanked with mine as well, not epic mobs mind you, but Heroric ..yes it can be done.
