<div></div><div>People say wardens are made for healing moreso than a fury, but I do just fine as a main healer all the time.   Personally I think it's six of one half a dozen of the other.  I think furies have more fun damage stuff, though I'm biased.  I've never regretted choosing fury over warden.   I do know that furies can heal and deal damage, both quite adequately. </div><p>Message Edited by Shmoo on <span class="date_text">04-07-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:47 PM</span></p>

<div></div>having played both a warden and a fury, I have really enjoyed both. Personally I think wardens heal a little bit better, but both can be main group healers. Wardens have quicker direct damage, where as furies are a little slower with more powerful hits, and have some quite powerful aoe's. Both classes have some cool utility spells, i.e. Warden: duststorm, tree that heals, wolves, evac. fury: group invis, emergency in-combat run increase, power drain ect...

Having seen the answers in a couple of places you can look at it this way... I'll give you pros to both of themWarden -- Has an extra heal and their heals tend to heal for more although they take a teenie bit longer to cast. Gets Evac. Gets some nice defensive buffs. More DOTs that attack a single mob. Overall picture a warden as a solid defensive healer that attacks individual targets well.Fury -- Has extra nukes that do a lot of dmg. Quick casting heals that heal for less per cast. Gets group invis. Gets some nice offensive buffs. More AE/AOE based attacks for large mobs. Overall picture a fury as an offensive healer that can attack larger groups very well.In the end I think all the healers are pretty balanced for group style playing. While the fury heals are smaller the group can usually do more dps so things die quicker and less healing is necessary. Wardens are nice because they HOT are very power efficient but kills are slower. As a Fury I balance my time between MH and 2nd Heal/DPS (in longer fights against big groups I can do 300-400 dps)Soloing with any healer isn't much fun but Fury is best at that. In a raid a Warden is IMO slighty > than fury as the offensive buffs are less important and nuking is usually out of the question for the healers in those situations. That being said I heal in raids all the time and neither druid is in MT group so if that is what you wanna do go shaman/cleric instead.Cale65 Fury of NektulosArchons

<DIV>O_O </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You don't have a druid in your MT group???!!!! THAT IS BLASAMPHY!!! haha I love playing my fury alt. I have healed beside wardens and the wardens do have a larger healing base but, as stated before, the fury has the larger DPS, so, stuff dies fast. hehe</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously though, it is all dependant on what you really wish to do in a group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=spells&message.id=9434" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=spells&message.id=9434</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Our guild Defiler composed this healing guide with a VAST amount of information. Is there really a need for group invis once you get to t7?

trying to invis a group is a flippin' joke. nobody pays attention

<DIV>Group invis does have some benefits in T7 if for some reason you don't have a scout in your group which btw is the only time that evac is useful too (but more classes have an evac than group invis....)  I use it primarily as self invis and I don't have to buy a totem so it is nice.  You really have to boss your group around about not casting if you are using it to invis yourself while grouped... not the spells' fault just your group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for spells I want to say this for the difference my fury has 1 AE Nuke (Star), 1 Single Target Nuke(Thunder), 2 Single Target DOTs(Swarm, Tempest), 2 AE DOTs (Ring of Fire & Call of Storms).  CoS is pretty useless but its there nonetheless and it is a totally different thread.  In comparing the classes you might notice that while the Fury gets a new dps spell in each T6 and T7, the warden gets only 1 however, and I could be wrong on this because I don't play one... they do get something new (not damage) in T7.  This would make it so the Fury has 1 more attack where the Warden has an extra heal/buff. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will maintain that a Fury will do better against larger mobs whereas a Warden will do better against single targets playing solo or in groups.  Also, Goozman makes a nice point about dealing with spike damage (Fury) vs sustained damage (Warden).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>eq2.thedruidsgrove.org has nice spreadsheets with the spells and baseline stats for Fury and Warden that I would encourage anyone to check out for more information.</DIV>

My Wife and I both play Druids... she is a 46 Warden and I am a 45 Fury. We either solo or duo together most of the time. She is blown away by my hard big hitting nukes, especially the master II AOE. From my perspective, her nukes do less damage, but have really fast re-cast. This does make it harder on fury because of long cast times and interrupts. We can open with a big AOE nukes, which is really nice. Overall I'd say the Fury is way better at group damage. What makes the Warden so much better at single encounters, is the root they get. She can solo stuff I cannot simply because she can root and avoid being hit (she was able to solo Chomper when he was still green, I could not even come close). For casters it's not much advantage, for heavy hitting melee types it's a big difference. Furys have no such option but to go toe to toe. We can try to snare and run around and kite with DoT's (slooooow and lame), but that's about it. Duoing together so far we have been able to rock pretty hard. I'm happy with my Fury, I like the big nukes and big heals. the truth is they aren't THAT much different, you can't go wrong with either,  both are great classes. Go Fury if you want huge crit damage and good AOE bomb. Go Warden if you want faster casting smaller damage spells and root.<div></div>
