<div>Hey all I am new to the Fury community and am very excited about my lil Kerra.  I have been playing a Necro for the last few months and have leveled him to 60 very easily.  Most of my sucess can be attributed to a wonderful FAQ post in the Necro community all about Necro's. </div><div> </div><div>I would love to see something like that appear here on the Fury boards.  It goes thru just about everything and answers the questions that plauge all us newbie Furies.  It covered all the training choices and which one is good for different playing styles.  It told us which spells to upgrade first and why.  It was just awesome to a budding character.  If possible could one of the uber Furies out there do the whole community a HUGE favor and put one of those together please?</div><div> </div><div>One word of advice would be to try not to leave out the the stuff us real lowbies need to know and not to just concentrate on the high end.</div><div> </div><div>What you will see is a bunch of posts spin off of it and everyone will benefit from it. </div><div> </div><div>Thanks in advance.</div>

<div>While I am not going to do a huge FAQ (although I would be more than happy to answer any of your questions) the basics that you need to know are:</div><div> </div><ol><li>When choosing your Master 2 spells make sure you choose heals, it is extremely tempting to choose the nice big damage spells that are offered to us, but trust me, the heals will be FAR more appreciated by groups.</li><li>When your tank is pulling, DO NOT PUT A HEAL OVER TIME! So so so many Furies do this and it almost every time gets you aggro immediately and its extremely annoying for a tank, instead of HoTing, let the tank take some dmg initially and then spam heal him up to full health, then slap the HoT on when he has enough aggro, that tactic works every time. Ofcourse, if you get a tank who has his taunts upgraded to adept 3 or master, then you can feel free to put on a HoT as he pulls.</li><li>Make sure your INT is high, at 60 you want it at about 280 solo and it should hit about 330-350 when your in a group. Ofcourse remember to keep your WIS up :smileywink:</li></ol><p> </p><p>Those are the very basics, ofcourse I haven't named any particular spells and I've probably left out some of the info you should know, any other fury's please feel free to add to what you know, eventually we can have some kind of FAQ thread put together and get this stickied.</p><p>Hope what I have written helps you.</p><p>Ucinea 60 Fury on Permafrost.</p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://europa.everquest2guilds.com">http://europa.everquest2guilds.com</a></p>

<div></div><p>Thanks Ucinea... it's a start... I will cruise the boards more intently to try to figure out some of the common faults before I learn the hard way.</p><p> </p><p>Anyone else that would care to post some observations for us newbie's please feel free to do so... thank in advance. =)</p>

<div></div><div>1. WIS should be your first choice in gear.  this will dictate your power pool and your resists.  Not to mention how well you heal.</div><div>2. INT can be your next best stat depending on how you want to play your Fury.  the more INT you have, the more dps you'll have.  This stat is debateable among us for the simple reason of how we play. If you wanna be dps/back-up, go with more INT.  If not, leav this stat be and focus more on WIS and healing.</div><div>3. STA will dictate your HP.  Depending on how much aggro you pull from heals and nukes, and at lower lvls, what race you are, this can be a benificial stat.</div><div>4. AGI will dictate your ability to evade hits.  This can also be a benificial stat, especially if you prefer to wear cloth armor(If this is the case, see STA).</div><div>5. STR is not one of our primary stats to consider.  the more STR you have the more Melee dmg you do.  it is not recommended that a fury melee, or tank but if you don't mind and feel that your other stats are good, go for it.</div><div> </div><div>When it comes to equiping weapons, i have found that even though 2H weapons may do more dmg, almost always having a one handed weapon and shield/symbol(s) equiped will give you more stats.  Don't feel guilty about replacing weapons as you go.  you do need to keep up on your weapon lvl as you grow, often when you do, your stats get better from the weapon(s)/symbol(s).</div><div> </div><div>Keep in mind when choosing master 2 spells, look at the spell lists for furys and see what spells you'll keep for a long while.  Most of our spells get upgrades, so dont waste a Master2 choice on a spell that gets upgraded in a few lvls after you pick it.(see spell lists on <a target="_blank" href="http://www.everquest2players.com/">www.everquest2players.com</a> under the classes link.</div><div>Try to keep your spells at least at Adept1.  only when you have no rares, no adept1's can be found, then go apprentice 4.  It can be expensive at first to upgrade your spell quality, but the more you play, the more money you'll have.</div><div> </div>

As a mostly casual/solo player, how do these priorities shift? It seems like the choices one makes gearwise and attributewise would tend more towards higher INT and Master2ing nukes, rather than heals. Is this initial impression correct, or am I off-base?<div></div>

<div></div><p>Well, I guess I am unusual in that I mostly solo and I worry mostly about healing myself.  I have tried it with WIS and INT up as high as I could get, and then with WIS and AGI and from the soloing point of view I seem to feel that AGI is quite helpful.  All I have is my annecdotal experience though, it isn't like I have run numbers or anything.  Just a general feeling that "gosh, this is easier".</p><p>Does anyone else use agility to make their soloing fury work?</p><p> </p><p>Drumly  aka The Tang</p>
