<div></div><div></div><div>I'm just curious, but in terms of end game, which is the best class to roll if you like to heal? This is my first round in EQ2, and I rolled a Fury as it seemed to be the best described one out there. And I have no problems with killing mobs. It was a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] until I got the level 11 version of Twirl( I think that's the name), but none the less, soloed well. With my time I think I'll end up solo'ing until I get to a decent level where I can join a guild and level with groups(Right now it takes a long time to find a group, and I can grind quests faster alone).</div><div> </div><div>So, enough babbling, which Priest Subclass is the best to roll now that we pick one of four in the beginning?( And I mean best for healing, and raiding viability/need[PS if I seem lost it's because I played a priest in WoW for a year raiding MC/BWL])</div><p>Message Edited by Nalge on <span class="date_text">02-05-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:49 PM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Nalge on <span class="date_text">02-05-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:50 PM</span></p>

<div></div><p> </p><p>              I cant speak for the other priest classes, but furies do quite well for heals. Once you hit level 54, you should strongly consider taking the Master II Untamed Bloodflow (Unless a negative change happens by the time you reach 54). That spell along with Back to the Fray are my bread and butter (Pre-KoS) I raid (not yet 60).  Only downside that I can think of is that furies/wardens have HoT's and are not a great match against wards or reactive heals. Only reason why I say that is, wards and reactive heals give the healer a few seconds to continue casting against a mob that hits HARD!</p><p>          </p><p> </p><p>                 </p>

I play a 22 templar, and I can tell you those reactives which are 5 second casts (yup 5 seconds in some cases) are about useless in some situations... I'm seriously looking at a reroll, as I prefer to keep my group alive versus, being stuck in spell cast progress bar hell. Also don't even THINK about soloing with a templar... I tried this post LU19... and its worse than ever... its pathetic (trust me)...just my take on templars anyway....Fury's I hear are are good at soloing, and heal really well, with some good fill in the middle HOT spells.... sounds like nirvana compared to templar B.S.<div></div>

<div>You know.. I was thinking about this the other day. </div><div> </div><div>In the end game, and I can say that I'm there for the moment - member of Dissolution, which has taken down every raid zone except for the Djinn Master's Prism (hopefully this week), I think that every class has its purpose.  This especially goes for healers.  We try to raid with 1 type of each healer, and fill in when one is not present.  When we are missing one of the archetypes, we definitely notice it.  Each healer type has its purpose - I'll try to explain.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Xtank pull such and such mob that hits like a sumbiotch</strong>:</div><div><em>Shaman</em> wards to protect against initial damage.</div><div><em>Cleric</em> precasts reactives to slow damage dealt once wards are eaten through (quick)</div><div>While the previously mentioned two classes are struggling with slow recasts and trying to get these spells back up, not to mention debuff during all this, the <em>Wardens</em> HoTs pull up health slowly and the <em>Furies</em> cast large, quick heals to keep the tank alive. </div><div> </div><div>So you see that each class in needed in the end game.  I think that the real difficulty is getting TO the end game, so choose a class according to your style of play.  If you group often or are interested in guilds, might want to choose a more pure healer type - cleric or shaman.  If you solo or duo alot, might want to choose fury. /shrug</div><div> </div><div>Anyway I'm done rambling.  Hope this helped some.</div><div> </div><div>Mystral the Supanoob!</div>

<div></div><p>Can i just say that i love my fury?!</p><p>I heal well both grouped and solo.  Although at 32, most of my spells are adept 1, i have kept a group alive in runnyeye when i was just 30 and most of my group members were 37+.  mind you i was the only healer in the group.  in situations like this though, i can burn power very fast.  it is all about how you play and if you know how to play moreover..</p>

I have parsed healers healing on raidseasy raid mobs we dont get much healing in, i just debuff keep a HOT going and do some damage.Where Fury shines is in tuff encounters, we have the fastest burst healing, and also the fastest power burn. When the tank gets to orange its a furies burst healing that can keep them up long enough for other healers to catch up.I love tuff encounters, taking down mobs for first time is nice<div></div>

I just constantly keep my HoT on the tank and throw in the direct/hot heal(s) on them when needed, when things get bad I chain cast all my direct heals<div></div>

<div></div><p>What is HOT. Sorry but I looked at eh spells list for Fury and warden and the slang eludes me.</p><p> </p><p>At lvl 57, I know for a fact that I can beat any templar to the punch with quick fast heals and myself and tank are usually the last ones to be alive if we have a major wreck with a strong mob. Fury's in my oppinion are the first thing any grp should grab for heals with a templar to keep it even. Two fury's working a group or a warden with a fury worls well too. In a matter of seconds I can hit the tank with 5 to 6 spells that will pull his butt outta trouble and well into the green at lvl 60.</p>

<div></div><p>Well,</p><p>I have a 21 Templar so I cannot specifically advise to the "end game".  I can tell you however that most people that complain about Templar's healing ability probably are doing something wrong.  The reactive spells are awesome, and what I term as "emergency" spells like Radiance are wonderful (zero cast time).  The problem comes in when trying to solo.  It SUCKS.  Even the basic quests take a long time. </p>

<div></div><p>hey guys.  I am a 59 templar i have all adept 3s and all legendary and some fabled gear.  I love my templar....but we do have our weaknesses =)  Our cast times on spells take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to go off lol and don't even think about soloing.  My first toon when the game launched was a fury (which got shelved due to druid aggro problems)...then I went to mystic...wasn't really my thing...then i rolled a templar which suited our guild tank who is a guardian.  My advise is to pick a class and play it to the end....if you keep rerolling around level 25ish...you never really know the class well enough to give it a fair shot.  All healers do a great job healing.  So IMO, there is no BEST healer in the game, only good players...it is all the person behind the keyboard =)  Pick the class that you are happy playing and stick with it for the long haul.</p><p>Happy hunting</p><p>Lunaa 59 templar, mistmoore </p>

<div></div><p>Aye , Same as Telka. Furies are da Bomb. Furies Rule, Templars Drool. LOL  Actually a duo of Templar Fury mix is hard to beat, two fury's or a fury and a warden, can support most grps, with out a Templar.</p><p> </p>

I went from playing a templar religously to rolling a fury post DoF.....each person has their own play style and each type healer has it's advantages and disadvantages, as an active raider I enjoy the fury class for it's quick recast times.Personally, I have tried going back to the templar but have never made it past level 54 with her, my level 60 fury keeps me beyond satisfied for grouping and for raiding, I can't imagine ever trying to play another healing class fulltime anymore!<div></div>
