Furies have larger nukes with longer recast and cast times. So it's really really dependant on what you're fighting at what level etc. Heal wise, we're basically in the same boat. Pre 50, both classes suffer from the regens not delivering enough HP to compensate against other healing classes. Direct heals were (until the next hotfix) an advantage for Furies, we should be roughly the same across the board now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fun spells, Porcupine at 50 is a nice flavor. Back into the Fray at 52 makes you feel like a real healer. I've heard, and seen from guildies that Ring of Fire kicks serious butt although the lag gets a little ridiculous at times. Lower level I can't really comment on since they have changed that since I was there. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thing that stands out about my class the most is the fact that after all this time I can log in and actually get invited into a group as a main healer, which is a nice feeling.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Lego23 on <span class=date_text>10-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:03 PM</span>

To make it short Furies do more DPS, Wardens were better healers prepatch, about the same now, and will again be better helaers soon due to the fixes for their class. I think there are more furies than wardens, so wardens are more unique. Furies are probably better soloers. Furies and Wardens share the HoT heal flavor and they have some other similar spells. For the most part the bigger difference is visible after level 40. Furies get group invisibiliy, wardens get evac. Furies get better DD and probably better DoT as well. Wardens heal more efficiently. I am not sure about Wardens buffs, Furies buffs increase intelligence and agility mostly. Hope that helped. <div></div>

No clue about warden dps. But for furies, it's a multi-target slaughter fest. Between Starfire, Thornskin, and Ring of Fire, it's just murder against multi-mob encounters. Ring of Fire has solved more than 50% of the interruption and stifle hassle. After opening with Starfire and getting the initial Ring of Fire cast off, it's down hill for the mobs after that between the ring and the damage shield. Single target nuking is very good - between Bolt of Storms, the two DoTs, and the aoe used as a single target nuke. However I'm much more in my element and *MUCH* more power efficient against multiple opponents. Stuff goes down really fast is what it boils down to. Stuff is usually dead before the Starefire recast is up, which means Ring of Fire rarely ever needs to go all the way. <div></div>

As a 50 Fury (no spectacular gear or anything), I dueled a lvl 52 Warden in my guild and kicked his butt....twice. Now, I'm not saying I could take ALL lvl 52 Wardens...but I thought it was pretty funny. Of course, I do have more HP and Power than he does. BTW, I'm on Antonia Bayle...so if you see me running around and feel like you can take me....BRING IT ON!!! lol <div></div>

Templars were the most popular priest by a wide margin, and Defilers were the rarest. I'm not sure how the numbers have fallen in the last six months though <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Why compare Fury and Warden? They are so different after the revamp.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Furies can heal and nuke pretty well, like EQ1 druid.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wardens, on the other hand, become nearly a new class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wardens can nuke. Their nukes are weak but with short recast timer. Wardens can deal decent damage if they chain cast their HO and nukes. Well, it may be not that easy to chain cast HO in group... Anyway, wardens may have similar dps as furies when soloing/duo, and furies may have much higher dps when grouping.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wardens can heal, althought they don't have any instant heal to encounter burst damage, even after the recent update. The direct heals and group direct heals are HOT, or sort of HOT. All these HOT are of different casting time, different duration and different recasting time. Mastering warden's HOT is really challenging. This is completely different compare with other priests. Once a warden master his HOT, he can heal as good as, or even better than any other priest of similar level in a long battle. As the most efficient healer, wardens cannot solo heal his own group against tough mobs because of lacking any instant heal. Anyway, this is SOE's balance. So, wardens may have similar healing potential as fury when soloing/duo, and furies may have much better chance to be the main healer when grouping.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Imo, wardens is the best secondary healer. They have efficient but slow healing. They have decent +wis buff (for main healer). They have evac (at least there is no evac totem <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In conclusion, furies and wardens are two different class, and have different role now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Iceice</DIV> <DIV>39 Warden</DIV> <DIV>Highkeep</DIV>

<P>I believe Furies are the best secondary healer... because we have decent nukes that when we are functioning as healer back-up we have no problems landing and then going back to healing.</P> <P>Not only that... but Furies have the fastest casting heals... back-up healers need to be able to act fast on say a warlock who pulled too much aggro... while big heals are nice by the time you see a warlock with aggro, target them, and wait for a long casting time heal to go off... they are dead. You open with a back into the fray (due to delay on switching targets a warlock will probably be under 50%) then slap on a regen and start pumping out the other heals.</P> <P>We also have permanent hp regen which really helps the primary healer keep up without us doing any REAL healing.</P> <P>Furies can heal multiple targets as aggro flips around better than any single class IMHO.... it's healing the MT that we are probably the worst at.</P> <P>I honestly see us as the best backup healer...</P>

<DIV>I've seen it go both ways. We've recently recruited a warden in our guild, and when grouping with her, I can happily sit back, and barely heal. I've gone through numerous battles where all I do is melee and nuke.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>OTH: I've also taken over as MH in the group, and done just as well. :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(52 Fury)</DIV>
