Either purchase the adventure pack and do the quests until the vendor that sells it (in Nek) opens up to you, or have someone who bought the adventure pack and did the quests buy it for you.

Depending on the fight i will replace ferocity of the hunt with spirit of the bat.  Your pretty much trading 400 health to each group member to 200'ish power to yourself.  <div></div>

hunt doesn't stack with a templar's hp buffs, as far as i can tell. it's another reason to use this all for yourself. you'll out powerpool every other healer out there and pretty much the entire group/raid, but it goes so quickly. <div></div>

So you can have someone buy the spell for you?

Any level 35+ Sage can make the spell by buying the book from their wholesaler.  Apprentice 4 and Adept 3 versions are available. No purchase of adventure pack required.  I have the adventure pack scout runes and I didn't buy the pack. Gertack 50 Fury, 42 Jeweler Befallen <div></div>

I'll say this about Spirit of the Bat: I always cast this over Vim. If there is a cleric in the group I let them keep up the hp buff and use Vim instead of Hunt, but if you have the choice of only Vim or Bat, I would take Bat. They give almost the same max power boost, but Bat's regen is in-combat. The only exception I would make to this rule would be if you are questing fairly easy mobs and have a decent amount of down time between fights.

The health that FotH gives isn't much compared to the amount that we can heal through spells with the extra power. Gertack 50 Fury, 42 Jeweler Befallen</span><div></div>

<DIV>I agree, but find myself mostly casting Vim on someone else in the group because I just have too much power with both on me unless I am solo'ing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There is still a good use for Hunt...whenever you know you are going to be running a lot with no combat. That 4% run speed might shave a few seconds off that run from the docks to PF, etc. heh</DIV>

I usually duo with a pally.  He runs out of mana in a fight way before I do.  Even casting non-stop with heals-nukes-dots everything I have he will use more mana.  I keep vim on myself and give him spirit of the bat so that we end up with closer to the same amount of mana at the end of combat.  This leave less downtime waiting for him to get power back. I do the same as the above poster, just switch out my duo partner with a zerker.  He burns through power so fast he becomes remarkably whiny without bat on him. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
