View Full Version : So are we getting another /Respec or not?

I have heard that we are getting another respec after all the healing and combat changes come out. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I would like to respec my Fury (took the lvk 30 Strike of Thunder upgrade and i want to trade it for the Effloressence upgrade) but i was saving my respec until after the changes take place. If we are getting another respec anyway, I'll just do it now. Any one heard anything?

I haven't seen an official announcement either way... BUT, I would expect that there will be one if the current balancing plans go through. Reason being that my Wood Elf took a racial trait that gives him a bonus to defense and parry. He's a Fury and (as it stands currently) will be losing parry in the update, making his trait 1/2 as effective. My *guess* is that we will be seeing another /respec - the changes are just too drastic, even moreso that the previous ones that prompted a /respec.

I'm thinkin the same thing as mojo....too many drastic changes will be happening for them not to allow another /respec. For what its worth tho, forgo the effloresce upgrade and get the group cure elemental. Without going back to make sure, I'm 90% sure that it is one of the training options at this level. To all lower level fury's that read this...ALWAYS PICK THE GROUP CURES. Just my opinion, but your going to be lvl 50 a whole lot longer than other levels and the group cure is one of the most important things that you have Cheers and GL

I was lucky to realize the above point about group cures while I still had a respec. While there were other good and useful training options for leveling, any thinking-of-going or actual Fury around 10 and before 30 should definitely pick up the group cures if they want to raid end game. If people saved their respecs, def use them to get the group cures. The cures are *extremely* valuable. I can definitely see the difference when my group gets hit by a poison or elemental dot and I immediately cure everyone vs other raid groups who don't have a group curer in them and can only cure person by person. The group cures cast fast and are simply necessary for endgame raiding.
That's one thing I really, really, really want to /respec. All those heal upgrades while nice while leveling become much less useful fairly quickly. Group cures are great.
same. i'd rather have hammerwind's swarm as well. great dot/debuff combo, i miss it. jerzeel's is fun... /shouting 'a pyre for my godess!' does have a special joy, but i probably should have went with the dot/debuff as well. letting scouts just tear into something unresisted is neat.

Still have my /respec @ 47, been resisting the temptation to use it until I've settled into 50. Still I hope another one's coming, I see nothing wrong with giving out /respecs periodically when things have changed a lot.

Some mobs / encounters just cast more powerful status effects (elemental seems to tend to be the worst though, although that's for both group cure or single target). As you get into higher levels (in my experience) you'll find it slightly more and more common that certain mobs will put out stubborn effects that you just can't get off. There was actually a x4 raid on a drakota my guild did recently - when the thing died all 24 raid members had a decent poison DoT on 'em. None of us priests could get the things cured, all we could do was group cure our groups trying to keep everyone alive until the DoTs wore off naturally. Heh, good times.

Just FYI, somewhere in all the FanFaire coverage I've read I've seen a statement that we'll be getting a /respec when the Big Combat Revision goes live. However, I can't relocate it, and it's a fan report, not a dev report of course. Nevertheless, I saw some corroboration that we'll be getting one.
