Probably all furies do know this spell line is completly useless, doesn't add promsied crushing damage, tho it adds waterbreathing. But did you know when you cast water breathing spell and then this one, it will negate your breathing <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />? So all furies be extremly careful when casting this spell under water. It might be irrelevant but i was so unlucky i had waterbreathing near siren's temple in TS killed group of greens, casted this ferocity of the eel and immediately clicked on the chest. I was so unlucky that i saw sudenly my breath bar appearing after casting this spell but it was too late, already clicked on chest and got ... as expected mezzed. In the wave of panic i forgot that there is chance to cancel spell and i drowned<img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> hehe. Bit my fault i know just bit of warning for rest of you. Looks like coders are doing "good" work again, using system: If casted "water_breath_spell" then water_breath=:negation(water_breath). They kind of forgot there are more waterbreathing spells <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> so if my water_breathing was true, then after casting of ferocity of the eel it will be false<img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> hehe Good work <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>I've gotten notices that I did additional damage. Are you using crush weapons? </DIV>

I am using skullcrusher on lvl 25 and i have never noticed any additional crushing damage, how is it reported? I get normal weapon crushing damage and maul damage from peerless predator since lvl 20, after FoE no additional procs.oh , sorry i wanted more to point out on the effect of canceling the normal water breathing that on no proc crushing damage. Btw according to Rensu's fury bug list:/rensu6) Ferocity of the Eel / Aspect of the SharkI have Ferocity of the Eel Master 1 and it doesn't give variable crushing melee damage. It doesn't parse any different w/or without when using crushing weapons or other weapons. Aspect doesn't either. I don't think this works, or if it does work, it doesn't really do anything or doesn't parse to do anything./rensu off <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><p>Message Edited by Mjk_cz on <span class=date_text>01-17-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:11 AM</span>

<DIV>It does work, just not nearly often enough imo.  I've seen it maybe 3 or 4 times on my Fury, who melee's a good bit when safe to do so.  Got Adept1.  I've stopped casting on myself unless solo...cause then what the heck, right?  I still like to put on my tank and other melees.  Like Savagery it seems to go off more for melees, either cause they get a bump to proc percentages, or just the sheer number of attacks they take compared to me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My Tank has mentioned it a few times without me even asking if it was procing, he liked it.  Extra damage = extra taunt for him.  I didn't ask how much it proced for, but probably more than what it does on us.  For me it's like 7 or 10 dmg.  Quite forgettable.  Think it reports ask crushing dmg like this (7).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Shouldn't matter what type of weapon is equiped.  It's like savagery adding a slashing dmg proc, but you can use any weapon type.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If it doesn't do a good bit more damage for melees, and put them on a higher procing percentage, ya it's pretty useless side benefit and hardly worth casting.  I haven't invested too much time into the matter.  I think it could be tweaked up just a bit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh and about the bug where it over-writes and cancels another EB effect.  Hope that gets fixed pronto.</DIV>

<DIV>its broken like much of the fury spells with secondary effects, there are reports of very rare procs from this spell but too rare to be of any use, hope they fix this and the general 25+ spell balancing issues for furies</DIV>

<DIV>Any different water breathing spells cancel each other out.   For example Mage summoned EB stones and our EB.  I have gotten in the habit of announcing who I am EB'ing and to not EB them.  Still have the occasional drowning  from people who do not seem to pay attention to my warning.  Have been /bugging it for months with no result.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Fromingo on <span class=date_text>01-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:08 PM</span>

<DIV>I tested these quite a bit a while ago and never saw anything reported to the log about additional damage.  I'll keep Shark up all night on my tank and see if I notice anything.  For those reporting that they have seen it, can you remember the exact line in the log?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Verax</DIV>
