<DIV>Does Stinging Swarm stack with Cyclone? It looks like one DOT spell cancels the other out but I wanted to get a second opinion.</DIV>

<DIV>They indeed do not stack.... some misguided person was saying they do on ign, however they do not. I tried cycolone and then SS and then tried SS and Cycolone and nothing.... only the last one reports damage back to me.</DIV>

<DIV>they dont stack, and stranger still is the lower level swarm spell had  a defense debuff effect and cyclone has no debuff effect, it amazes me that this can got through the design stage without anyone noticing higher is much worse. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What annoys me is not the bug but that there has been no response from SOE on this or any number or priest issues, its a disgrace and crazy frankly considering WoW has just been released this kind of community feedback from SOE is hopeless and Im losing patience with it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But let them prove me wrong, I will wait and see )</DIV>

<DIV>No, it doesn't stack.  I too have also bugged it.  It's taking them far too long to fix this or at least comment on it.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for the response. I will indeed /bug it. I was told that the Warden DOTs stack <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I want mine to stack too. It's very un-Fury-like.</DIV>

They appear to stack, now. Or is it just my imagination? I would swear I've seen two DoT hits displayed over the mob's heads. Could be me mind playing tricks on me, though; I get bonked in the head on a regular basis.

<DIV>Best way to verify if your spells are stacking is to create a new chat window and filter only the effects you want to see, in this case under Spells > Your Hits. I have one set up using this, and my melee hits, and damage shield.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>No, our dots do not stack. If you cast one, and immediately cast the other, it will overwrite the previous dot. What's even more perturbing is that our 2 damage shields aren't stacking either. I am also concerned about our debuffs.</DIV>

<DIV>Bugged it today as well.  But I'm not holding my breath.  I was willing to give SOE the benefit of the doubt on thier FLAGSHIP game, even after I swore off all Sony products after SWG.... but it looks like the same old same old.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll continue to play through my pre-paid, and might stick it out a few months after that to give them a chance to iron the wrinkles out, but the lack of communication here on the boards, and the lack of results in the game speak VOLUMES for the future of this game.  That, coupled with the assanine decisions already coming out (tier 2 harvesting anyone?) because of the whiners lead me to believe that this game will degenerate to the lowest common denominator sooner than later.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please prove me wrong Sony.  I've been looking for a game to stay with.  I was hoping this was it.  I beta'd WoW, and while graphically and content-wise it has nothing on this game, it was remarkably free of these kind of game breaking defects.  In addition, they were very communicative on the boards and in the game... and we all know that isn't your strong suit.</DIV>

If I cast SS and then Cyclone, Cyclone takes effect. If I cast Cyclone and then SS, Cyclone stays in effect.I'm 99% positive this is what happens, as I was trying to play around with it one night. Of course there's that 1%... I'll have to try again when I get home tonight, unless someone beats me to it.

I know it's been said over and over but I will say it once more. For me they do NOT stack. I have stinging swarm adept 1 and only aap1 for cyclone. The difference in damage output per tick is vast (SS doing almost twice the damage per tick). Cylone seems to always over wright SS ... always. Maybe there is a weird bug somewhere that makes it stack for certain people, but it is not stacking for me as of now. I seriously hope that Sony does address all the stacking issues in some fashion (at least a statement) with the big patch. I am giving them the benifit of the holidays and being understaffed etc as to why they may not have commented yet. We'll see what they do in the New Year.

Yeah, Cyclone definitely cancels SS regardless of order cast - it's done that as long as I've had Cyclone (about a week now). That's why I SS first (for the debuff) and then stick to cyclone. It's annoying having to still use smite though just to finish off HOs cuz casting SS is too expensive (with basically no result if cyclone is still going). It's even more annoying considering how long cyclone lasts, I wouldn't mind the slow DoT of cyclone if I could toss an SS in every once in a while too.I'm hoping this'll be fixed (as everyone else is) in the "big patch" coming up next weekish. If not, I'll just pout a bit more. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
