View Full Version : Having to replace your gear to take advantage of EoF AAs IS NOT parity

The major issue I have with SOE's plan to have all wardens respect to melee is our lack of sufficeint strength to take advantage of meleeing. Having to replace our hard earned gear with strength items is totally unfair. Furies didn't have to do it to use their AAs. Why should we?

I can live with the fact that we bring little or nothing to raids. This is by design. We paid for the expansion so we are entitled to get some useful AAs out of EoF.

[I cannot control my vocabulary] mr kaku you realy seem to have a problem making a single post without using the word fury huh?

Then again i always knew the grass is so much greener at our side, bright green might i add and its definately blinding you!

Kaku has a point here. Wardens need to put very very much effort into the meele line so that it is at least as effiecent as our spells. SOE should either give us a new str buff or raise the damage on the ca`s. But i think neither will happen.

You don't have to spec melee if you don't want to - so your hard-earned gear is safe. If you DO there is no reason why your hard earned gear cant also stay in your inventory for swap out with STR items when you want them. Kind of the best of both worlds, I think, not really something to complain about. You don't have to do either/or...you can do both.

Besides when we were supposed to be a DPS class anyhow? I've done the combat switch only for quick HO completion, and the free heals I get from the STR line. I'm certainly not going to fool myself in to believing that I can be on the same level dps wise as ANY other class in the game.

If I were to ignore my DPS capabilities, I would feel like only playing half a class. Sure, I don't do as much damage as a real DPS class, but it's still enough to count as a worthwhile contribution to the group.

IMO, it's not as much the fact that they decided to give us the offensive option, it's the fact that they didn't give the wardens who like the defensive side of things better options for continuing to be defensive. That's my only concern. All the power to any warden that wishes to DPS. It's just not for me, and I wouldn't mind an AA or 2 more on the defensive side of things that I can be proud of Take Care

Someone is like, I made a healer, I will only heal... Druids is not JUST a healer, its a healer that can do some nice dps if you try.. Next time on raid, try to use the extra spec and talk to your raidleader to get put in the melee dps group.. you are going to, not only be god on heals, but also god on dps.. When I go all in I can out dps my Dirge anytime..

Everyone has to make choices and sarcrifices when it comes to AA lines. You act like the melee line is the only one up there. If you don't want to get str gear don't go down the melee line! Or if furies are so much better just roll one and be done with it.
