Alot of questions about aa's so i figured i would throw in my bit about solo/questing warden and if you have alot before your 70 what do you do with em to get the most benefit in getting to 70 ? Ok my toon is a fae warden level 51 and has 56 aa's - , i didnt think it was possible to out aa your level before 70< or 50 > but they seam to come alot faster now - so question is what can i do to make my life easier before 70 and pre raiding with all these aa's etc - Heres what i did please feel free to post your routes in the new tree and how it effects you and how effective it is I have gotten full sow (with fae 5% racial, journeyman's boots and my sow at 45% i run at 60% making it easier to explore and get away from things) Nature walk which i love (i cant get rooted hardly ever so its easy to get away from anything and makes it a million times easier to root and kite as your never rooted, + you gain immunity to knockback effects and we all know how key that is and the buff is group ae so everyone benefits when traveling with you) All the root upgrades under movement except i think two are at rank 4 (this is to help root things and makes a huge difference with resists and duration - recommended for ALL druids as root is our best buddy) The upgrade to the ae emergency root reduced recast from 5 min to almost a flat 3 min (thats a very nice recast for such a powerful spell as it cant be resisted - if you play or have played a warden you know this spell is important) Sprit of the bat upgrade to 5 (for the increase in 10 power regen helps at lower levels as FT items are hard to get and you get increased agility for dodging mobs as you know you find yourself tanking more often than usual ) The mitigation increase to 40% on the wolf form (ok for my level 48 version at master one with the rank 4 im gettin 599 mitigation - thats alot and speaks for itself - focus is at 35 with that spell, also great for soloing etc).... for the first tree from kos i decided to go with Int line 4 4 8 8 so far - For casting damage of course because thats where our big numbers come from when you still have low strength stats (no melee damage). My weapon is a fabled one hander and i barely scratch mobs with it compared to my spells and my Int is 160 with 340 Wisdom... so you have an idea where the damage comes from you still need good Int as a warden (druid is a hybrid your supposed to do damage so do it) Just want to add I reall think sony did a good job this time with the aa's and the fact they come so fast now really lets us use the abilites for a longer game period and its much more useful to anybody ... to any that solo <like to quest etc and dont always have time for a group> the aa's i have mentioned have already worked wonders and i group alot too and am usualyl the main healer if not only healer so dont worry about that - :smileymad: Oh and i almost forgot to mention (people keep saying warden vs fury = the wardens get 2 roots etc etc - please dont forget we get a 3rd root built into our 5 min recast ae de aggro) The spell is key and i put the max aa's into that one as well in the movement line and recast drops from 5 min to around 3 min <thats a huge diff and its a 3rd ae root> great for enough time to make sure the group root actually works - good luck hope this helps someone Zooloo, the wandering fae warden of AB

Message Edited by magicol on 11-28-2006 04:40 AM

Message Edited by magicol on 11-28-2006 04:45 AM

Message Edited by magicol on 11-28-2006 04:48 AM

I think you've pretty much got it right. If you're not raiding and solo a bit you'll want dps and to upgrade your roots. The int line from KoS and the movement line from EoF should help a lot. As for other abilities I'm not sure if there's much else you can do. You've hit on all the important areas. With the rest of your points I'd dump them into the heal crit line in KoS stamina. Once you've maxed int for dps and have the root/sow upgrades from EoF there's nothing much that will help you level up/solo. Once you're capped you'll have to respec though for more defensive AAs.
Message Edited by mikemcmodmike on 11-28-2006 09:59 AM

I have a level 20 Fae Warden and this is exactly what I have chosen thus far, and will choose as I progress. So far it is working great. I think play style says alot here though, I am a root/nuke/solo/duo/small group type player. I have never experienced a raid situation. I have plenty of healing power to keep myself and a group alive being the only healer in the group and yet I can still solo reasonably well. I have never played another class so I can not compare my soloability to anything, but I am quite happy with my progress. Even Con Heroics are a bit tough, but with a duo are fairly easy. Ranger and Warden seem to compliment each other very well. Any non-heroic up to my level and maybe one above I can handle without getting mushed to bad.

Right now I have 5 points in Root and 4 points in SoW and I can see quite a difference between myself and a Warden buddy of mine who went with 5 points fire improvements and 5 points ice improvements. In fact, you can hardly tell we are the same class. Excellent work on the new trees SONY!

29 Ratonga Warden with 17 AA's....First point I had I put into Shapeshifting (was Pre-EoF when I got it, so naturally that went there). After EoF, I wanted to go melee/solo type play so I put 3 points into Fire, 3 points into Chill, and then maxed out the SoW line (why would I need to do that? to run through the zones and get more AA's! - expect a high death to kill ratio doing this though, I've got more repair bills than a full T7 raid lol). Next I threw a couple points into the root line. In a solo situation, I can root and nuke (but since the mobs seem to resist nearly half the spells, the root breaks quite frequently, and always at the worst possible moment). So when the mob breaks root and is in my face I switch to the melee spells (faster cast time and the more points you put into the abilities, the more damage it does, even over your spell damage - though you'll need to have your slashing, dicing, and booty-spanking skills up to par or you'll be having a lot of misses). In a small group situation, I still have my stand-back-and-nuke/heal capability, with the occaisonal jump-in-and-let-the-sword/staff/hammer/severed-limb-from-the-last-mob-proc for a little more added excitement. In a raid situation, raid? never been on one so check some of the other million odd posts by the raiders. My next plan after maxing out the Wardens line is to switch to KoS tree and build up Wisdom line (revive after death automatically? WOOT!), and then Strength line, finishing off with some of the Intelligence line stuff and if any left over points into the charm animal (Can't be any worse than the Mystic pet with the -50 DPS modifier, right?).
