I spend the majority of my time grouped for XP on a PvP server. Should I select:Nature's EmbraceProtection of the Season'sWarden of the Forestas my specialized training?

the heal, the heal, the heal... the heal?

all other factors being equal (assuming they're all the same level ie adp3), i'd choose nature's embrace hands down. the extra few points on the buffs aren't really going to make or break anything, but the extra few points on the heal might. my second choice would be protection of the seasons, since you're mostly grouped and not solo - the group mitigation isn't too shabby.

I'd take Nature's Embrace, you rolled a healer and healers should perfectionate what they are good in, healing Protection of the Season should be upgraded to adept3 thought and Warden of the Forest is good if you are a big solo player, but then I wonder if it's worth to spend that much gold on such a spell that you will use only a few days till you get your upgraded version.

Ah yes, a healer. I've tried many classes since bringing EQ1 online but I keep coming back to a healer. Must be in the genes.Being a healer in PvP group sucks unless you are in one of those rare groups where every one watches out for each other. I find though that in most cases it's every person for himself and the cloth and leather wearers are the first ones to fall.I was looking at the mit PotS & WotF brings, imagining myself surviving the trashing I received by an unexpected gankingYour reminder that I'm a healer put my thinking back on track. Thanks for the response.
Message Edited by Aekisu on 09-05-2006 10:35 AM

70 PvP Warden here...Dreadnaught some days, Champion others.

I'd pick Warden of the Forest. You can Adept 3 your heals and they will be quite functional. Indeed, you are a healer...but WotF on top of mastercrafted armor gives you near- plate mitigation. If you are dead, it doesn't matter what heals you have mastered.

Unless you are a Qeynosian Warden...then I say..pick the heal. ::grin::

Message Edited by Arielle Nightshade on 09-05-2006 12:47 PM

I was going to add a disclaimer that I don't do PvP (although I'd like to... I hate getting smacked in the Peat Bog, though, and I don't have the patience to level after getting killed 5 times in a row) so the WotF might have been a better choice simply FOR the mitigation bonus. What the difference between M2 Protection of the Seasons mit bonus over Warden of the Forest?

Should I select:

Move to a PvE server

Thankyou for this stella contribution to the discussion, as we all know we shouldn't group on a PvP server... Especially as a Healer.. o.O. hehe.Thankyou fellow Wardens for the very good points raised.I'd have just gone ahead and got the better heal without thinking about it before, but am thinking about it now.. (after some guy was advertising the M1 Heal for 35g last night >.&lt.Does a +10(?) Focus increase really help that much to stop interupts etc? Or is it one of those 1 in a 100 chance things? As in, would one notice a decent improvement when getting beat on in PvP between an Ad3 or M1 version and the M2 one - adding into that the extra Mit - or would the extra HP from the heal be more of a lifesaver...I thought I'd made up my mind, just dunno now! :smileyvery-happy:
