<DIV>:smileywink:  I have always played a Ranger, from the early days of EQ1 to about a week after the big poison proc nerf, and never really cared much for any other class.  I started my warden up to be a healer for my friend's new swashie...and I haven't logged my Ranger in since.</DIV> <DIV>My friend and I can do some things we didn't realize were possible as a duo and we have a great time doing it.  I get into pickup groups or guild groups and the importance of being a warden (and knowing how to play) come quickly into view.</DIV> <DIV>Wardens are a great class and I love mine.  He might be a young warden and not dealing with some of the end-game/raiding issues, but I think I will love him then too.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>Just wanted to post this...work is boring atm...I would much rather be running around Norrath... </DIV>

Gratz, good stuff.  Yea Wardens are a fun class.  Wait until you get Sandstorm/Duststorm too, it's a nice ability.

<P><FONT color=#ff6600>On a side but related note, maybe you guys can shed some light on something.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#ff6600>I play on the PvP server and in guild chat was talking about how powerful Fury's are.   He seems to know this game quite well and claims at higher levels, Wardens are actually more powerful then a Fury.   This is contrary to most of what I read, and that is Wardens heal better, but Fury's do more dmg.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#ff6600>Can you guys give me some additional insight on this?</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#ff6600>Thanks -CC</FONT></P>

I love my Warden as well <span>:smileytongue:</span> She is catching up fast my current main (lvl 58 atm) and might become my main when I get AAs full with my Swashie. I find that I my power pool lasts longer than anyone else's - though e.g. furies throw in few dps hits so I guess that impacts their power pool. I've taken a pure healer role - my AAs trying to support that... so I can't really say how our dps relates to other healers... I've just lived under the assumption that we are not good at dps and I've focused on healing - which I enjoy more anyway. I have my swashie to dish out the dps when I want that lol. *hugs all wardens* Iriwen, lvl 58 Warden (Lucan deLere) <div></div>

<DIV>Wardens are stronger with single target dps and furies are stronger with encounter dps; not to say that a fury will always lose a single target dps fight, but if a warden wanted to concentrate more on their int, then they should be able to match or exceed furies against a single target. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The other thing about this though, is that furies can dps AND heal with little to no issues barring possibly mana pool, but a warden cannot really do both at once due to the way the nukes are setup: furies get 2 dots, 1 3s cast nuke with 15s recast, and 1 4s cast 20s recast aoe; you can easily see that with a timer setup like that combined with the druid trademark of fast-casting heals, it's fairly easy to mix in dps with your heal chain. Wardens, though, get 1 dot, 1 2s cast 3s recast nuke, 1 2s cast 8s recast nuke, and 1 3s cast 16s recast aoe; in other words, a warden has to keep on throwing in nuke after nuke and can't really take the time to heal if they're going for maxed dps. My normal nuke chain is something like: wolves, dot, ho, small nuke, big nuke, small nuke, aoe, ho, small nuke, big nuke, small nuke, dot, ho, small nuke big nuke, etc etc. As you can see, there's not many places in there for healing because things refresh so fast, and honestly with the little bits of everyday lag we all get, I can pretty much just hit all those buttons one right after another and they'll be ready to use despite feeling like I should have at least 2s somewhere to toss a heal in and not lose dps from it.</DIV>

<DIV>Wardens are the best freakin class in this game! I love my warden and have looked at playin alts but they never really make it past the nOoB zones cause I just can't do the same things with them, as I can my warden. A note about Furys--I like Furys also, they're like our angry little brothers! I've believe I've noticed a pattern in subclasses. One type is more defensive based (Wardens) and the other offensive (Furys). Maybe I'm seeing things wrong, but SKs are more DPS and chop chop kill kill than most Pallys I've been with. But Pallys are about protecting the group blah blah blah. So I don't think they're better than us--but I think we serve different roles as 2 types of druids. However, I got into it with a fury who was in all fabled and master 4 everything and we dueled for a good 35mins. I didn't have the mana to nuke her down and keep myself up, but she didn't have the DPS to take me down. At one point I had 0% mana and she had like 65% and still couldn't manage to beat me down. I ended up taking off my armor and dancing around her before she killed me =P.  I'd take a warden over a fury anyday, but to be serious I think we play different roles and bring some phenominal priestly capabilities to the table</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Samui</DIV> <DIV>70 Warden/70 Sage</DIV> <DIV>Oasis</DIV>
