It seems that everyone favors wolf form for the +spell and jokes about the tiger form. Is there any utility to having a set of +str gear, the str AA line and tiger form to help with solo leveling?

Vorym / High Elf / Lvl 13 Warden / Venekor

Having decent STR gear allows us to carry boxes instead of smaller bags. It's all I've really noticed as our melee damage is inconsequential, especially at higher levels. That's not to say that the AA abilities from the STR line can't be useful but that's another question. As I understand it the STR line can ultimately proc a group heal which is a waste if you are solo. I think if you are soloing, all lines are viable except for the WIS line.

If I were you I'd stick with WIS/FT gear for power and INT gear for spell damage bonus.

As far as tiger form is concerned, if you're a warden you should be a woof. Warden=dog and Fury=cat. And it's a well known rule that dogs > cats.

If you're going to use tiger form then at least cast it over the woof form line so we can't see it. Otherwise we'll have to mock you.

When i hit 58 i got a bixie sword from kos and switched to str AA line. I must say its decent hehe. My double attack is only up to 20% and the boon is only 4% but it helps. Tiger bite procs alot and helps with the dps. Im waiting to get a bit more into boon and 40% to double attack. Ill probably get the end teir as well as it could add a nice bit of dps. I think i average around 90-100dps just swinging my sword and procing tiger bite. When i solo i just melee...heal and dot when needed. That being said i really dont see it being viable at lower levels, you need a really nice sword and at least 15aa's to make it decent.Roor59 wardenNagafen- PVP

Message Edited by Lordviperscorpian on 04-04-200612:38 PM

if your finding that tiger bite is doing a fair amount of your damage...you might want to scrap your warden and roll up a fighter. There are some PHENOMANAL crushing weapons....mainly the pris 1.0 and 2.0. Also the blackscale maul, or the primal seer's mace. The mace/hammer bonus from shapeshift is 6% ish spell crit increase. Whether you solo or group the INT AA line is mucho useful...has spell crit increase(13.9% at 4 ranks). Add in shapeshift and you crit 20% of the time with spells for an extra 30% damage.

You could double melee attack 1 in 5 times for an extra 100 damage or so, or you can crit glaciel cold and do a couple hundred extra damage...or crit winds for an extra 200 or so damage 1 in 5 times. Not to mention that you can still melee during all this casting, so you aren't losing a ton of melee damage. But you can't crit your spells that often if you have STR AA line.

Besides the INT line has a melee attack as well...granted not as good and longer recast timer but it's not bad....and the capstone AA for int (Infusion) causes you to damage a nearby enemy every time you cast a beneficial spell.

If damage is what your looking for stick with the type of damage you do best...melee is not a wardens forte...so increasing it a bit seems silly when you can give your spells a very nice boost!
