Can probably remove the section about warden gear having too much wis when the stat cap changes go live.  I'm hoping I can get my resists up high enough with straight wisdom to ditch some of my resist gear.<div></div>

Tranq casting time was reduced to 1.5 seconds on beta. we have AAs that reduced the recast time by 2 seconds per rank (total of five ranks.) I would have liked 1 second casting time but meh.<div></div>

<DIV>Our Tree..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know this has been addressed but I am bumping or adding my voice about our tree. The tree causing disruption to other players in groups, zones, or raids. If we have an ancient spell which causes disruption to others and are the only class which is asked to not use our ancient spell because of the disruption only, then the spell has issues imo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Layar</DIV> <DIV>70 Warden</DIV>

<P>Holy crap!!!....lots of posts on this one...looks like the Warden population has grown since i was posting last....good to see :smileyhappy: ........havent read all the posts so forgive me if say the same thing as some one else.</P> <P>Im for anything that gives us a distinct difference from the other classes of priests....like for now its the Hot stacking.........i think we can have up to 4 regens going at once, maybe 5 by using one of the instant cast emergency regens (dont know if they stack with the fury) i would hate to see us evened out with the other classes to make it less viable to pick a warden.</P> <P>one thing though that would be cool...would be to add somthing to the tree(and yes throwing it in the wall or collum works great except when in zones where there are mobs in the adjoining room...LOL...figured that one out the hardway).....maybe a buff or somthing.....Ya i know the defiler has that with thier pet...but augmenting our hallmark spells would be a good thing imo........maybe the dogs could do somthing else also.......and for sure do somthing with sandstorm....??? not sure what though.........</P> <P>this is Mk on Guk..cuz i cant edit my signature...lol.....geeze im an idiot</P>

The 17th of July was quite a while ago.  I've been slacking a bit.  (Actually, grad school has been getting in the way.)  This list is woefully out of date in regards to what has happened since then (such as Echoes of Faydwer).  I'm going to need someone to help me get caught up or generate a list to replace this one.<div></div>

<P>I would say for the most part the main gripes of the thread have been cleared up. </P> <P>Defense is now uncapped so sandstorm is again useful.  The main complaint now is the power cost.  Maybe reduce the power cost because atm sandstorm is so costly that casting duststorm is preferred in raiding.</P> <P>Tranquility is again useful.  At 1.5 seconds I do cast this spell again.  I can't comment much further about it because I'm still getting the hang of the spell because I haven't used it in so long <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Raid utility has increased with our cure lines.  We're once again needed in raids for our strong buffs.  While we don't have any debuffs, our buffs are strong enough to feel needed in a raid.  I would say our raid utility is again good.</P> <P>Spirit of the wolf can now be upgraded to 45%.  The main gripe here is Mystics can upgrade their SoW to 50%.  Why have 2 different amounts?  It seems illogical.  They should increase our speed to 50% too.</P> <P>The new complaint is the melee line.  The recast of the CAs is longer then the spell variant without spending AA points.  While it did recently get reduced the cast frequency is still longer using the CA AA line.  This should still be reduced.</P> <P>Existing complaints that are still valid now are about the tree and save death spells.  Our save death spells don't have a large heal tied into them like inquisators get so after triggering the target dies the next hit.  We can get 2 triggers through our AA line but our save death spells are still weak.  The tree is still too large too and doesn't scale with level.  Casting it is more of a nuisance then anything else because it provides little healing and dies in one hit of an aoe.</P>

Using the input from mikemcmodmike's post above, I've begun to update the things that have either been fixed or were so dependant on other things that they would have to be reinvestigated later.  I'm going to try to look through the forum threads for issues, but I tend to spend what little time I have in game. <div></div>

<DIV> <DIV>Wanted to throw in that with the cure enhancement nerf we lose what usefulness we had in raids....may want to look into changing the status of our raid abilities since we are back to mostly useless (in terms of buffs)</DIV></DIV>

<P>I do not belive Sandstorm is working as intended.</P> <P> </P> <P><A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=16&message.id=21443" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=16&message.id=21443</A></P>

I agree that the list needs to be updated... right now it gives the impression that everyone is quite satisfied and the Warden class has no major problems. Many people (including myself) would not agree with that, however. For a start, I'd add the following points to the list: Specific abilities: - Nature's Walk seems to have no effect in PvE - Hierophantic Genesis/Advent is too weak considering that it stuns the caster - Sandstorm has virtually no effect at the moment - +Heal adornments not giving their full effect General problems: - Low usefulness in raids due to subpar buffs - Weak achievement abilities (compared to most other classes) - Rather weak specialty spells (e.g. Spores, Protecting Grove, Hierophantic Genesis/Advent, Tunare's Watch) <div></div>

<DIV> <DIV>Well, imo i think that every spell which triggers when you die is kinda useless. Why should you die in the 1st place? If you cant prevent that... *shrug*<BR></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, sandstorm is pretty lame. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Our tree could also be nicer, if it only would be a LOT smaller in physical size and heal somewhat more.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Hierophant genesis is too weak, because of the stun.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If natures walk is not working (havent tested myself) in PvE, that really sucks too...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And the +heal adornments are a joke. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Still, i love to play my warden almost as much as i loved to play my ranger. I really have to say that playing a warden is much more straightforward than playing a ranger. Almost like i could hit the "easymode" button when playing and stil enjoy what im doing. Anyway, i like the class.... so much that i hardly ever even log with my ranger, which i still however consider my nr 1 toon. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>++Xan </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </DIV></DIV><p>Message Edited by xandez on <span class=date_text>01-02-2007</span> <span class=time_text>07:26 PM</span>

<P>Agree with above poster</P> <P>U can be a warden that goes throught the game and never have to cast anything besdies heals cures nukes and your rez....everything else is so situational or brings such little benefit that its more a waste of power.</P> <P> </P> <P>Think thats one reason i haven't wanted to play my warden.  Heal and cure is far less exciting then having other things to do like buff, debuff.  Even nuking which i know we can do ...with the exception of the debuff doesn't seem to add much to any grp that i am in.  Most of the time i have so many dps in grp i tend to waste more power nuking then just healing.   I love the idea of the warden and even the idea of most of there spells.... I just wish there was a reason to use most of them.</P>

This post should no longer be saved.  It is no longer being updated and has outlived it's usefulness.

Wow, this is really out of date.
