Personally i'm going to make like and ostrich and bury the thing, i'd have prefered a crown of leaves or something a little more nature friendly and less like I just skinned my devoted pet.<a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/gallery/KoS-Exclusives/Druid_Helm">'Hat'</a><div></div>

<div></div>I can't wait to see what it looks like on my Ratonga, but yeah, I can understand how most people won't want this on unless they want to be laughed at.

<div></div>That is the silliest looking thing... on the bright side, none of the other professions are getting great hats either (check out the winged crusader helm and you won't think ours is quite as bad).

I think some of the professions are getting some really, really great looking stuff. Our bruiser was running around beta in a full set of his ninja gear -- it was great! I'm not too keen on the bear hat either. I don't know why they didn't give it shaman. However, they did get rid of the very unflattering pants in T7 and for that, I'm grateful. I can hide the hat, but I can't hide my pants <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></span><div></div>

<div></div><p>Bah, I don't like the hat at all. Thank the gods for the showhood command. Besides, Mysidia, as a character, is more likely to wear the Monk hat. (She's just goofy like that.)</p><p>I think they should give the choice to the player, of what "image" of the hat we want. After all, we're all supposed to look different, no? (And who doesn't want to run around with a blue wizzy hat or a Raiden hat?)</p>

Does it even fit with Warden nature to wear a bear head on our own head? Where did the head come from? Why would a Warden even think to wear an animal (being protectors of nature and such) on their head?<div></div>

Joo nar wear leather armour? whar joo tink dem skins come from? or joo nar tink of leather as skin?Joo a protector o nature, but dat nar mean dat joo never kill anyting in nature. Iz da way o tings, just need ta keep ta balance, dat joo job. if joo nar supposed ta keel tings, den why dey gimme dese big teeth, n dese purty claws, n da Icy winds at me'z command? If da Faceless just want me'z ta heal tings, heem wud nar gimme dose tings.Dat bein said, me'z nar wanna wear a bear on me'z head, Me'z tink dat hat shud be fer da mystics, we'z shud git a wolf head. Dat more fitting. It kinda ironic too, cuz dem halfie shepards try ta keep da wolves outta dere flock, but we'z da shepards o da wild. GAH! me'z been reading agin... me'z just keel da halfie n leave da sheep! HAR HAR!in conklusion, halfies taste guud.<div></div>

<div>Good point JDragon, that looks more like a Shaman hat to me. Heck if they wanted to give us druids something it ought to have been a sickle <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

Druids need to wear a leaf crown or maybe a giant acorn on our head, I dunno, anything than a bear on our head. Thats just wrong. Can't they come up with a better idea than this, sheesh!!<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><div></div>Whilst I understand what Chingdai is saying about balance in nature (although I wonder if that is just a justification for eating haffers :smileywink: I'm still not comfortable putting a dead animal on my head. And unless it has outstanding stats I'll not even be tempted to wear it with /showhood off. I find it amusing for some reason (or maybe it's just cos Chingdai made me laugh), but from a roleplaying perspective I just couldn't bring myself to wear it.<p>Message Edited by Ishtarqhe on <span class="date_text">02-24-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:19 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Ishtarqhe on <span class="date_text">02-24-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:22 AM</span></p>

OMG it looks like Lain's PJs from Serial Experiment: LAIN<div></div>
This is Daniel Boone speaking. I was wondering where that darned hat went. When my coonskin cap got tore up fightin that bar, it made me so mad, I killed the bar and made me that thar hat. Went swimmin in the river and somehow, i misplaced it. Could ya kindly give it back, please? I thank ya kindly.Dan'l<div></div>

<div>I don't really care for the look .. but that is why there is /showhood. All the hats in this game look dumb imo (at least on my gnomish head). I would like to know the stats more than anything.</div>

<div>Meh... I'm not impressed with the bear hat.</div><div> </div><div>Need justifitication for wearing an animal? I can see a justification for wearing leathers and animal parts. In nature it is, well, natural for one animal to prey on another. Predator and prey, natural balance. Killing for survival is a natural part of the cycle. If a druid is well and truly part of the cycle of nature they have their place within that cycle and also kill and are killed in turn as a natural part of the order. They may choose to prefer being a vegetarian but a great many would probably still eat meat as well. Being a thinking being the druid can also find uses for all the parts of a kill that another non-thinking predator may not. A druid might kill a deer in time of need for food but would then also likely tan the skin to use as leather for clothing and user the bone and antlers for buttons or other adornment. Some might find an antlered deer helm, something traditionally linked to guardians of nature in many stories, preferable as an aesthetic adornment if nothing else provided the alternative is leaving it to rot as waste. I'd find it highly unlikely that the druid in question just killed some poor hapless bear for its head and left the rest laying in some field somewhere.</div><div> </div><div>SoE just decided that the symbolic profession hat for a druid made more sense as a bear head. I don't know why but... meh... like I said I don't like it. It's a personal aesthetic choice so I'll likely be avoiding this one.</div>

<div>I'm getting it tonight. Updates in HoF were a pain</div><div> </div><div>I will wear it around and if anyone asks what it is I'll say it's the head of the Kerran guild leader of an opposing guild. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>
