<div><font color="#ff00cc">an sk guildie an i often duel when we have a spare moment, mainly because im overly persistent an determined to beat him.. he is equally determined not to lose. closest i have so far gotten is him down to 6% which was mainly the luck of a lot of procs. does any one have any successful tactics they use when dueling crusaders? i would really like to see him go down.. in a friendly kinda way =P</font></div><div><font color="#ff00cc"></font> </div><div><font color="#ff00cc">personal messages might be good too cos i know the sneaky bugga occasionally reads this forum...</font></div>

Get your resists high enough and an SK stops being able to do anything to you. Wolves will burn off his reactives; use the big nukes to burn him down. There's a limit to how much he can heal.<div></div>

<div></div>Are you suggesting you need better gear than an SK in order to beat him?

<div></div><div></div>against sk don't use your wolfes, just nuke him down. The SK can use your swarm pets to heal himself with aoe.<p>Message Edited by Hanzz00 on <span class="date_text">02-13-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:15 AM</span></p>

<span><blockquote><hr>Unmasked wrote:<div></div>Are you suggesting you need better gear than an SK in order to beat him?<hr></blockquote>No. I'm suggesting that, as both classes improve their gear, the balance of power in a duel between the two shifts. If both are poorly geared, the SK's pure autoattack damage, coupled with spells incompletely resisted (including a power drain) will result in the SK winning. If both are better geared, the warden will be able to resist many more of the SK's abilities and will probably have the power to sustain enough damage to outdo the SK's healing.Actually, there's a point at which neither side will win, as they can both simply survive.</span><div></div>

I also expect him to burn power to do it.An SK/Warden fight is not about who goes to 0 hitpoints first (excepting use of harmtouch). It's about who runs out of power first.</span><div></div>

<div></div>Which is why the first question asked is is he trying to outlast you?Because, all the strategy in the world wont matter if you don't know the other persons strategy =X

<div>Hrm...standard mele tactic seems to work... sandstorm or root/nuke both work 100% for me. The other points are valid as well max resists and avoid pets so he can siphon.</div>

<div></div><font color="#ff33cc">thanx all for your input =) i hadnt known that about the wolves healing him =/ , i always use ss in melee duels but against the sk he pulls his pet out which rips through me... so i usually break the ss to root the pet an get away. i try to keep my disease resists up too.. keeps me alive when the ruinous touch hits</font>

<div></div><div></div><p>Never fought a SK before but I have had experiences with Paladins.</p><p>Generally speaking I am far less worried about fighting "slow damage high defence" classes than the opposite, because the way our heals and damage work, we have really superb efficiency, meaning the longer the fight lasts, generally speaking the better for us.</p><p>When fighting another healer class or a slow damage class like a guardian or paladin, I take out my calculator and find out which of my spells gives me maximum efficiency over time, and try to use those spells exclusively. In fights like these, its often the person with mana left at the end of the fight that wins. Manastones and free heals should be used ASAP.</p><p>If after a few minutes you have mana left and he doesn't, the fight is yours.</p><p>Message Edited by TimidMouse on <span class="date_text">02-16-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:06 AM</span></p>

I've found it to be a good use of a coral, and use it often.

<div>Duel invite--cast Sandstorm--accept duel--turn away and cast Protecting Grove--target yourself and cast regen--target SK--kill SK.</div><div>Wolves work--they'll do more harm than good to him. Use our DoT first and then nuke with our other 2 nukes. Snare him--use AE to hit their skelly pet thing also.</div><div>We have a SK that is our MT for our guild and is decked out in all fabled and master 1s--he has most Master 1s in all levels than adepts or anything. It's sickening. But I can stomp him out. He 's beaten me only once. I only have 1 piece of fabled, 3 master 1s and the rest are Adept III. We own in duels--except rangers--I can't seem to kill those fockers...just don't know...</div><div> </div><div>Samui</div><div>60 Warden/60 Sage</div><div>/anon just for Mudd</div>
