Hey all,Just have a few questions on my mind I would love to have answered. If you can help, please feel free to chime in <img src="../../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif" width="16" border="0" height="16">First: When it comes to Mystics and Wardens, and Shamans and Druids, in general, which race would fill the archetype the best? Please, I understand that most races can fill these roles appropriately. But, say, at the start, which makes a better character? Also, don't restrict this decision to Good-aligned races. I'd like to hear input from evil-only races, too.Second, and no more important than the first: Between Mystics and Defilers, which have more offensive spells? Who is more focused on healing? Which class is easier at end-level, with raids? And lastly, of the two classes, which has greater solo, group, or raid value? Thanks!(I placed this thread in the Mystic forum, as well, to get better feedback)<div></div>

<div></div><p>Shamans have the biggest raid value out of all priests imo due to the debuff and wards being the frontline defense as far as heals go.</p><p>At the start, any race with high wis is good for any hlr; later on, as a warden you may end up wishing you'd had a race with high int or sta or anything else besides wis due to our huge wis buffs and the fact that pretty much all the hlr gear in t6 has wis on it. My suggestion is just take whatever race you realyl wanna spend all your time staring at cuz otherwise you gonna be looking wolf or bear [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] all the time.</p><p>Between mystics and defilers, defilers are the offensive version, but there are a lot of arguments for why a defiler should be mt grp on a raid due to them have straight +hp buffs (and the largest ones in game I believe) vs the mystics who add hp through sta buffing. As a note of interest and in some kind of regards to the more heal-oriented of the shammys: mystics have 7 ways to ward by lvl 60; defilers also have 7 ways to ward by lvl 60. below lvl 50, mystics have 5 ways to ward and defilers have 6 ways. at lvl 50 mystics gain a 6th way and at lvl 52 they gain their 7th way whereas defilers don't gain their 7th way til lvl 58. Both classes have 3 ways that are limited to grp members; the most notable ones are oberon for mystic and spiritual circle for defilers. Oberon is a single-target channeled regenerating ward with a 2.5 min recast adn I think 36s duration (recast does not start until oberon is cancelled or completes its duration); it also stuns the mystic for its duration. Spiritual Circle is a limited pet that constantly casts a 500-600ish point ward on each grp member within a certain radius of the pet (believe it's about a 10m raidus atm but the range is bugged and should be larger than that) for 1 min with a 30s recast that starts after the spell goes down (either from duration ending or from pet getting killed). Also, as for actual heals, mystics get a limited pet spell at lvl 45 (I think) that regens the grp for 20s; defilers only counter to a "group regen" is their lvl 50 spell, maelstrom of dismay, which stuns the defiler (just like oberon does to mystics) and is an encounter ae dot that heals the grp's hp and power every 6s.</p><p>That's everything I can think of off the top of my head that you may be interested in hearing; feel free to direct any other questions towards me if you wish and I'll try to answer as best I can (I can give pretty good answers to most general things about any of those 3 classes because I have a warden main and mystic and defiler alts; I'm by no means an expert though since the defiler is only lvl 40 and the mystic is only 34).</p><p> </p>

<div>for solo/duo, go druid. More dps, pretty much the same healing.</div><div> </div><div>As for raiding... well you can't really raid without 1 of each healer type in MT group, so don't bother <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> each one is as important as the other, and i wont even try to compare them, as they have many factors that cant be compared (buffs, heal type, debuffs etc)</div><div> </div><div>as for the class, yeah, go for int wis sta. thats all that counts. retrospectively, i would go STA, then INT, then WIS.</div><div> </div><div>WIS is easy to come by, you'll be capped. STA can make you survive to that nasty unavoidable AoE in a raid, you'll love it. And INT.. well that means more DPS for when you duo, or feel like helping with your raid's DPS <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div></div>I base my raid value opinion off the fact that there's been many many raid days gone to waste simply because no shammy logged on, yet I've not seen it happen when a cleric or druid doesn't log on; and when you're specifically talking about comparing the value of warden vs the value of a mystic on a raid, the mystic WILL have greater value based off of which class you can still successfully raid without, but yes it is best to have 1 of each hlr type to gain maximum effectiveness.
