Im early lvl 20's warden who runs around with a Berzerker. I focus on healing, debuffing (if you want to call it that) and an occaisional root. I now use a 1h hammer that has something like +6wis and +15 power (dont remember name, Im at work). Player crafted stuff isnt even close to that in stats. What should I be using? I also use tome or orb instead of a shield. Should I be using shield? Seems like the orb/tome has better stats?

Thanks for the advice.

NoahBody

At that level, basically just go for as much wisdom as you can in your primary, secondary and ranged slots. It doesn't particularly matter what the item is as long as it has good stats.

I think the cobalt longsword has 11 wis on it. I have a ebon scimitar right now but when I find my next chunk of cobalt I think I'll get the longsword made as it has the most wis of any crafted 1h weapon druids can use.

Message Edited by Omegarhino on 01-18-200601:29 PM

Message Edited by Omegarhino on 01-18-200604:19 PM

At level 28 I'm using:Forged Foyiron (sp?) Scimitar (lvl 2+3 int +1 Agi +2 Str +2 Wis +15 Health +14 Power7-20 at 1.4 sec (20.3) (yes I melee a lot ... )Pestilence Priest Buckler (lvl 16)+4 Wis +4 Int +15 Health +13 PowerSF: 90Seems to be doing well for me. Prior to this I was using a staff (cannot remember the stats )

At lvl 22 Im using a Ivory Handled Battlehammer, DR 9.6 with +6 wis, +16power, and +75magic. Should I look for a replacement? Since I duo with Zerker, I dont find myself doing much melee, at least yet.

I'd maybe consider going for a 2h staff if you're not concerned about damage. They typically have higher health/power stats? If you just like 1h weapons though then you definetly need to get yourself a shield. Just adding a shield if you don't have one already can add a fair bit!

She has the Orb of Tainted Souls in her ranged slot that she got from a quest in Stormhold.

Ohh, and just a suggestion, hit that melee button when you fight cause even if you dont do much dmg, every bit helps. It makes the fights shorter and less mana usage. We duo a lot of lvl 20-24+++ mobs and then its much easier if she melees too. If its several mobs in a group you have to hit the melee button everytime you change to a new target.

My warden is currently using a Truewind Staff. I think it can't be equipped until level 30 but I am not positive on that. It has nice stats but swings rather slow. If I were to make a suggestion, keep that class staff for a long time, even if you have better, it swings quite fast and is good for skill-ups.

Would there be any reason why I would want to use a imbued fir wand over a imbued forged steel battle hammer, if they both have the same Damage Rating? The fir wand may have slightly better stats. The hammer has a proc and the wand has "clicky" spell.

MrMartin wrote:

Ohh, and just a suggestion, hit that melee button when you fight cause even if you dont do much dmg, every bit helps.

Also...melee to keep your skills up..crushing and slashing. I switch out crush and slash weapons from time to time for skillups. You don't want to solo for the first time in awhile and realize too late that you hadn't been doing that!

yeah nebbs made a boo boo, he used the screaming mace since level 44 ish, and now at 60 when he finally gets the prismatic scimitar, it misses etc. thank god for primeveal instinct at least so good advice to try and keep them both up, there are fantastic weapons using both slashing and crushing for druids
