This spell effect is not that inspiring and the spell remains to date unused across most of the self-respecting warden community. Ironically Dust Cloud i currently use off and on for the fun of the leaves that trail behind as you run - it reminds me of the old druid epic in EQ1. Now my perception is that Reebo's is designed as a fun spell to give a warden a particle effect, and dust cloud was designed as some sort of 'marking the main assist' spell - here is my suggestion: <ul> <li>Give Reebo's Circling Runes the Identical effect that Dust Cloud has</li> <li>Change Dust cloud so that it is some sort of 'Dust Cloud' over the head of the target it is casted on, it is far easier to pick out something over peoples heads as opposed to a bunch of leaves at someones feet - this would allow a warden to 'mark out' an individual person such as Main Tank or Main Assist during a raid</li> </ul> Just thoughts.. if they are crap they are crap but i thought i would throw them out there <div></div>

<DIV>Dust Cloud > Reebo's Swirling Green Gas</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The graphics of Dust Cloud are more eye-catching and all-around cooler. A swirling cloud of leaves at the warden's feet. The effect of Reebo's is completely dissapointing. It's like a dim cloud of green gas, kinda like a smelly cloud. Before LU13 I would use it sometimes and the only comments I got were negative. "Nice fart cloud" "Hey pigpen I need a heal" etc. After LU13 when Dust Cloud's icon was changed and you could no longer cast it on enemies (I had thought Dust Cloud was for marking enemies, I used it as a pulling spell in slow-moving groups.) I started casting Dust Cloud on myself and the response has been overwhelming. Several guildies, groupmates and people in tradeskill instances have stopped to make comments about the cool graphic of the swirling leaves. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And that's what it comes down to. These "fluff" spells are ice-breakers for socializing. Given the current state of the Warden class, I could care less when this gets changed if ever, but I thought I'd share my experiences I'd encountered using both.</DIV>

With all the other problems in the game, you are going to complain about a fluff spell? Priorities.....

while the attention of the devs is focused on warden spells why not bring up a simple point? <div></div>

Becuase if they did take the time out to change a fluff spell, people would be all over them for not fixing other things. People would complain that SOE was wasting manpower and resources fixing fluff spells instead of fixing healing stacking issues, raid mob damage, etc. It happens every time something is added or changed in the game that does not effect gameplay and is purely cosmetic. When they changed the design of the windows and the text, people complained about it. Same thing would happen.

<div></div>anyone else for happy juice? edit : personally i see a great potential as a Useful spell in dust cloud.. the ability to mark out a mob or main tank in a raid can prove valuable (see raid leader AA in everquest 1 for that) - my reasons for posting were thus - i personally do not see the spell as 'fluff' - now if you dont like the thread dont 'bump' it <div></div><p>Message Edited by Rappy on <span class=date_text>10-11-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:12 AM</span>

I use Warden's Reminder, Lvl 45 fun spell to mark the MT on raids. It seems to have a limitless duration now and it has huge bolders falling from way overhead of the target that it is placed on. Anyone in the raid can tell where the MT is with this spell on.
Personally I liked dust cloud the way it used to be. A long range pull ability.

<P>Dust Cloud is awesome now. I never take it off. It looks really cool to have the leaves swirling around my feet. That's the power of the Druid!</P> <P>Reebos...what is up with that?</P> <P>"Heal me PigPen"??? GENIUS!</P>

It can't be clicked off of Mt changes cuz it has no maintained icon, and I dont' even think it has an effects icon on whoever you cast it on (had guildies logging out to get rid of the spell when I cast it on everyone in the grp once heh).
