<DIV>We all know HoTs arnt keeping up with high damage output like wards or reactives. So I came up with this idea how to fix it. I havent seen this suggestion anywhere before, but if someone have suggested it before I appologise.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What if we where given a small window with a way to scale the intervals between ticks? Lets take chloroplast. It ticks 9 (?) times for 168 at add3 I think. Usually it takes 30 seconds for it to finish with 3,5 sec between each tick, right? What if we could scale this instantly downt to 0.5 sec? The spell would still have 9 ticks but it would give us the tools to deal with spike damage. Hotkeys for scaling would also be cool. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I realy think this could work, and it would meen we could rely on our special heals mainly instead of direct heals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What do you think?</DIV>

That does sound like a fun idea. But i doubt SOE will implement it, It'd prolly be pretty tough to get to work right. <div></div>

We would of cause be able to not only chose 3.5 or 0.5 sek, but also everything between. This way we could skale our HoTs to the encounter :smileyvery-happy:
well on test the time between ticks has been reduced, and the total duration to match. I think this will go a long way as we really only need to be able to heal more per second, if ever we need to heal less per second, we can either wait to cast, or use a lower level HoT.

<P>So what you're saying is that you'd like to scale our HoTs into a direct heal? That would surely remove any stacikng problems. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

I know HoTs have had time between ticks adjusted, but they will still take too long of a time vs raid mobs to compete with the other special heals. This would mean that it could under some conditions almost perform like a direct heal, but so does the other special heals. Lets not forget that recast would still be 6 sec (?), which means that we would still use our direct heals.

<P>I personaly chose druid/warden primarily for RP purposes, but i dont want to be a weaker healer than the other classes...</P> <P>That being said i prefer longer hot's as it means less button thrashing, i just wish soe would not asume that shorter hots fixes burst dmge effectively and there fore they can make us the weakest in direct heals.</P>
