You're not necessarily behind clerics in healing power. Clerics get the job done, wardens get the job done. I would be more inclined to say wardens are balanced with (atleast) templars. In fact, my guild's warden can out heal me in certain situations, just as I can outheal him in certain situations. All classes have their ideal situation, just some are too broken for it to be noticible.

Yeah..I WISH I was overpowered...::sigh:: I don't think we have a heal that is 'too big'. We don't need to be nerfed by the devs, we are automatically nerfed by old players who think that we are 2nd class healers. That's enough. I don't need a nerfing to 'prove it'.

I like that "Nerfed by old players" It hit's the nail right on the head there.I never played EQ1 so at first I wasn't sure about what all this "oh sod the druids" attitude was until I was chatting to a mate on vent about it and he explaied the old EQ1 way of things. He basically said to me that in EQ1 druids couldn't keep a group alive and a lot of the old EQ1 players still think that is the case.....However I think things are starting to turn around and hence the cry that "Wardens are too powerful" "Nerf the wardens I'm a Cleric and I can't heal better than a druid like I could in EQ1"Hopefully things will right themselves and it won't turn into a game of three useful classes and the rest just there to look good in the manual!

It really frustrates me that people say wardens are overpowered because of one aspeect of the subclass - basically one spell line.

The warden subclass is NOT overpowered. If it were, supply and demand would lead to A LOT more of them. Fact is, big heals work to keep wardens balanced. If they change big heals, they had better change other aspects of the warden sub-class as well.

Just to add a comment. Our big heals counterbalance the inability of our class heal to deal with damage spikes. All other class heals can keep someone alive when they are taking a pounding because the resepond to the amount of damage dished out ours does not. Hence wardens must respond manually. The big heals are needed for us to do this. We essentially trade response time to damage spikes for more healing, completely fair and balanced. On the other hand if our big heals do get nerfed we will be in trouble, as the slow hots cannot keep pace with damage spikes. Sole warden healing groups will become known as death traps as any large variation in damage will kill the tank before we warden can respond.Lorical

The healing spikes mentioned earlier are what add the adrenalin component to the mix, I think - healing 'manually', not reactively. It's a play style that appeals to me.

We have aggro challenges, can do some damage, can heal nicely...I think we ARE balanced. Don't 'fix' what isn't broken, IMO. We already have enough PR issues with some groups. Take away my ability to 'prove it', I might as well go roll a (god forbid) Templar.
