<DIV>At lvl 25 I don't seem to be able to fight anything except solo mobs. Doesn't matter if it's 3 green mobs or one green ^^ - I go down within 10-20 seconds.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Those ^^ mobs used to be my main target for solo xp but now... no way. Solo mobs are too easy and don't really give any xp to talk about. Is this where wardens hit a wall and need to be grouped up until some level?</DIV>

<DIV>green ^^ at lvl 25 are a lot different than green ^^ at lvl 12.  They hit a lot harder and live a lot longer.  The difference in AC and DPS between clssses at higher levels is so much more pronounced, that I doubt any class can solo those at 25 unless they are very well equipped.  However, I was gathering in antonica last night and took 4 of those granitescale lizards (green) on at once.  I ran out of power just as I killed the last one, but was never low on health.</DIV><p>Message Edited by iaegs on <span class=date_text>01-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:25 AM</span>

I think maybe you just hit a bit of a block or something. I'm at lvl 35 now, and can solo green group mobs and green^^ with relative ease. (I'm usually mostly out of power by the time I'm done, but I can solo them safely)I rememeber soloing some of these types of mobs in the high 20's also. Do you have all your adepts yet? Maybe you just need to upgrade a couple of spells or something. If not, try again in a couple of levels, I'm sure you'll be able to do it again! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I'm in the same boat you are. At about level 25 I started noticing that my warden (now 26) could not solo green group mobs, which I had always been able to do before. More specifically I could solo some but no others, depending on the actual level, as two different levels con green. Only the lower one was soloable, where before they both used to be. The main problem is that the slightly higer level ones did enough damage that I could only barely keep up with heals, which eventually spelled disaster as I had to run away when my power disappeared. However I discovered a solution. And that solution is Zek. Do the access quest for Zek, walk out of the harbor area, and you will see many or grunts that are all solo and they should con red at 25 (they are lvl 30-31). They are easily soloable with a warden and give good xp. In fact on solo monsters wardens are just awsome. The difference is that their damage is below what we can heal with our HOTs, so that you cast one hot wail away till it fades (with cold snap frost etc.) then repeat. I use about half my power bar or less on one of them. And best of all you can pull into a safe area. So while we have some difficulty soloing group encounters now I imagine we are still better at solo than many other classes.Lorical

<DIV>Guess I'm stuck to grouping all the time now. Todays patch note: <EM><STRONG>Slightly increased the melee damage of grouped mobs. Be wary! </STRONG>:smileyvery-happy:</EM></DIV>

<DIV>At 25 in TS I've found the green ^^ scarecrows to be soloable, at least the ones closest to the zone.  The fights range from relatively easy to very difficult but doable.  For some reason some of the scarecrows seem to do much more damage and require a lot of extra healing. In this case I've found weakness to help a great deal in reducing the power consumed by healing. Weakness makes a huge difference on mobs that hit hard. The other issue is that occasionally I get a mob that seems to frequently resist cold-based spells, after more than a couple of resists I'll give up on that mob as it is unlikely I will have the power to finish the job. I.e. live to fight another day.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The exp is pretty poor but the crows are usefull for a few quests and guild writs.  I should say I am actually finding it easier to solo at 25 now that I have coldsnap and frost (adept 1's) as the extra damage makes a huge difference.</DIV>

<DIV>Coldsnap + Frost is an awesome combination but drain power like crazy while fighting 2+ mob groups. I haven't used weakness for ages, thought that one was useless at these levels. Time to bring it back up on the toolbar I guess.</DIV>

<DIV>Well yesterday I solod a boss mob down in crypt of betrayal, Fayilia or something, I was, or am, lvl 32 and she was lvl 27^^ with 3 henchmen with no ^ up or down. Figth took about 10 minutes as I had to take away about half of her HP with weapon alone. Power regen was just fast enough to cast regrowth whenever I needed it, dragging them out for as long as possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>She dropped a nice helm, silvril barbute vanguard helm, or something, sold for 8gp on broker no sweat. Regardless of gear I would like to see ANY other class get that loot solo, as next lvl she will grey out. I dare bet only a warden could do this, hey maybe im the reason they increased it today? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A tip for soloing ^^ mobs though, as most prolly know but still, wait it out, until their power runs out just use the very minimum you can to keep yourself alive, this way when the bad DMG stops you should be at 75+% power and 100% health, while still trying to reserve power from this point on were them down with dots, as they are most cost effective, the occasional HO also works if you have good reserves. All it takes is time and you will know pretty fast if it is doable or not and have both power and HP to run should you need. </DIV>
