<DIV>What's with Call of the Fae not giving me levitation, kinda silly to have wings but not know how to use them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Oh I agree, I just don't think Levitation is in the game at all... which is a bummer.  That would be a truly awesome purk to Faerie form too that still makes it a "fun" spell.  We could use it to avoid fall damage and fly over water.  :smileyhappy:</DIV>

<DIV>It's not really flying though, and it's not a new concept since Levitation was in EQ1.  If anything, it feels like a step back to see utility spells like this from it's predecessor not making it to the sequal.  I'm also a believer that all spells should offer a little something and be more than just fun, or at least have more of them mixed as fun/utility instead of just pure fun yet really useless.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Unfortunatley as a consumer I'm only offering ideas for my subclass, this being one of them. :smileytongue:</DIV>

<DIV>Not in game at the moment, but if you've ever seen the Faeries at the docks in Nektulos Forest or the ones in the Oakmyst Forest newbie zone in Qeynos you have seen what our Faerie form looks like.  The Fury one is the one that looks like a blueish Dragonfly Faerie.</DIV>

<DIV>Why do the Fury's get to be the pretty faeries! I always figured that Call of the Fae would be the dragonfly faerie, now I am disappointed. The yellow glowy ones are ugly. As for flying, Mystics can fly in their bird form, doesn't make sense that we can't? :smileysad:</DIV>

<DIV>Bah, I like the yellow ones better.  Our combat screams are way cooler than the Fury faerie form.  Theirs sound like your beating up a little girl, ours sound like something you'd hear out of poltergeist... I love it!</DIV>

I don't see why it shouldn't serve some purpose. It's a level 35 spell, not a 'fun fluff' spell.

<DIV>Well actually its a lvl 35 fun fluff spell, but yeah, levitation would still be grand.  :smileyhappy:</DIV>

Can I just confirm that there isn't a single male warden in the game who doesn't think that the deer and fairy forms are as [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] as the day is long?/kick sand

Can I confirm that there isn't a single Warden in the game, period, who doesn't think that the deer form is horrid? However, I actually like the fairy form, but it's less of a big deal for me since my char is female. If she was male, I might complain more. Then again, the form is really quite sexless if you actually contemplate it for more than a few seconds, so I probably wouldn't complain after all.

<DIV>I managed to have fun with deer form once.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We were at Zek killing deer for someone's quest and the tank pulled about 10 of them (all grey con) which we started beating down slowly. So while that was happening, I turned into a deer, slyly mingled into the horde and turned my auto attack on.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Confounded the tank for a bit because after killing all but me, he was, like, "Why can't I attack this deer?!?!?" :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But then I never used the spell again because it IS horrid... the stupid bleating and the annoying jumping during combat makes my hair stand.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can't wait to get Fae.</DIV>

Are you guys honestly that miffed about having breasts on the fairy form? It's a fairy form for Tunare's sake! Ohhh. I want to be a manly looking fairy. Then all the other classes will look at me with respect. I personally cannot wait til I get my glowing, butterfly winged, full breasted fairy.

<DIV>I'm with Sheylara, although really really wierd, the Deer form is best used as Comedy Relief for tense situations.  It's particularly good in company with a Shammy's Beaver Form (which remains the funniest thing I've ever seen..specially in Runnyeye).   Our group refers to us as "Bambi and the Beeve" when we choose these forms.<BR><BR>Also fun:  My tradeskilling was way below my adventure level, so I had to begin gathering, etc in Oakmyst.   Put on the Deer, put yourself in 'walk' mode and wander around gathering....</DIV>

The forms are good for laughs at least. Sometimes I'll be grouping with my guild and someone will call me deer boy. Then I change into the deer and go stand on top of them, hopping up and down and going "BAAAAA BAAAAA BAAAAA."The funniest by far though was when I went into my tradeskill instance and stood at the top in deer form and said.."SOE gave wardens the stupidest fun spell in the game... I want to DIE"... then I jumped off. That one broke everyone up. Also pretty funny is the following screenshot... it's in our guild gallery, the one on the bottom entitled 'Krib and Guap perpetuate the circle of life' <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> http://hadishi.eq2guilds.org/image_gallery.vm?categoryId=29165But seriously... it really bothers me that more thought didn't go into the selection of these forms. It's like the devs assumed women would play wardens and men furies; this is not the case. Would it really have been difficult to put in an antlered deer form like the antonican stag and a male fairy? And heck, why a fairy anyway? It's totally random. If we're the protectors of the woods, we're the ones who should get all the woodland animals like bears and badgers and so forth.

<DIV>I just got Fae and I am disappointed! I was expecting it to be more fairy-like but noooooo, it's a bald yellow alien with annoying big wings that flutter nonstop. The wings give me a headache just to look at them for 5 seconds. :smileysad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well, guess I'll just have to stick to my DE guise. </DIV>

<DIV>THe form is exactly like the seamist faeries in EL.  So it's not that it isn't faerieish, just that EQ2 faeries look like aliens.  Or more likely they probably didn't have the cash for real life faeires to pose for them. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
