Call me noob, but I still didn't figure out why a conjuror and a ranger asked me to use zealotry once before a raid. I heard it was for apply poison or something but never got a clear explanation (something with int check?). Also tried my 1st oob in a pick up group and we just got completely destroyed by the last named, despite having a decent setup ( berserk, necro, warlock, inq, wiz, sk). It seems to be the doppelgangers he summon hit very hard but the MT (the zerker), always wanted to tank the named 1st). Any advice on that?

Yeah, I can't understand the zealotry thing either. As per the spell descripton

Zealotry lvl 50 :A group augmentation that increases the attack speed and intelligence of the inquisitor's group. It costs power over time to maintain the spell and the inquisitor is stunned, but the spell can be toggled off early if desired

That is the spell we use to make scouts and such drool over the increased haste. And also to bump up the damage caused by spells. That might have been where they were confused as to the use of the spell, thinking that increased INT would help with the posion damage of the ranger.

And as far as the OOB encounter, either the MT wasnt using a very good area taunt, or the SK should have peeled off to lock down the adds untill the MT could get things under control. Agro control from the mages might have been an issue as well. With most encounters, when the mob summons some pets, if you take him out asap, the pets on most occasions will despawn with his death.

Different strokes I guess. Try it with another tank and or someone to park the adds with a mez.

it reduces the reuse time of spells by 10% at m1, probably why they wanted it up

Ok it's for the recast time, still don't really see the point to have a faster recast before raid since we are usually taking time for raid briefing, waiting latecomers...:smileyindifferent:Well you are right about the caster, they were blutchered quite fast but once the MT was down. After the initial 15 sec the named is handled ok, then he pop the doppel and I just can't carry on the heal (double reac, double emergency and big/fast heal) even if fully debuffed. On a side note, the zerker complained a bit about aggro during the whole trip, he couldn't hold it on anybody but the sk. I found it weird too, gaining aggro just by casting once a group debuff.

I'm not sure but I think the poison damage will change as the Int changes and doesn't base the damage off whatever it was when they applied it.

Depending on the gear/aa setup, the SK might have been a better choice for tanking the mob, or at least a good choice for an offtank. SKs can heal themselves a heck of a lot with lifetaps if correctly specced. Also necros have a couple of spells they can use to assist on heals. It's hard to say exactly but you never know what you'll get in a pick up group. A lot of pick up groups bring two healers since they never know what quality of players they'll have.

sadly it is amazing what a difference it is when you have a tank in treasured/xegonite armor compared to a tank with mostly legendary with a splash of fabled.

Ok did another run with guardian/fury/warden/swashy and we did it with ease (though the guard did kill the adds 1st instead of the last named). Weird, since the berz was full T7 fabled, maybe it has to do with the skillz And about the zealotry thingy, it "seems" to be that there is a bug about it for poison and proc dmg buff, the damage doesnt scale down when zeal wear off (that would explain why they ask me that before raid or when poison reapply occur), but as I couldnt find any hard number, it would be nice if others inq input.
