<DIV>Hi Guys,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>New Inquisitor here and I'm having a bit of trouble it seems.  My main is a 56 warden and maybe I'm just used to using my regen heals and spamming but I am having trouble healing with my new 31 inquisitor.  I duo exclusively with a Brigand who is my same level and it seems that when we try to fight white and blue triple arrow mobs I have a hard time keeping him alive and when I do keep him alive he only survives with his health in the red.  I usually hit him with the reactive heal right when he pulls and then go between treat and recovery heals after that.  It feels like I can never get them off in time. Any tips from y'all?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!! :smileyhappy:</DIV>

Try this...Reactive...3 debuffs,,,group reactive..spot heal...but honestly our healing power works much better with tanks that are not agility based so healing for a brigand wouldbe troublesome.<div></div>

<P>Thanks for the response but what you said about the inquisitor/brigand combo not being very compatible isn't consistent with what they're saying on the brigand forums.</P> <P>Here's a post from one of the Brigand Forums</P> <P><FONT color=#ff0000>Brig/Inq is very powerful, especially now that properly AAed Inquisitors can be beastly tanks. If you have the inq set to tank, you can run full offensive on your brig, get in all your back attack debuffs, and if you pull agro, so what? Both classes are excellent at dps now; the combination is really quite sick</FONT></P> <P>So I'm pretty sure its a good combo and I'm just not making the most of it....</P>

Did you duo with someone on your warden as well?  I play a defiler but am trying out the Inquisitor class so I can't speak to the specific capibilites of the class, but fighting blue and white ^^^ would be difficult for any duo, regardless of class.

I have duoed defiler with a monk up to level 60. ^^^ even con especially named are very tough but doable. Without mastercraft or above gear and a bunch of AA, any scouts would have a much harder time tanking ^^^. Without serious investment in good gear and combat arts, it is better to duo a tank/healer than scout/healer pair. Paladin/wizard works well too. Can take down ^^^ 2 levels below with just treasured gear. <div></div>

You posts you mention have the Inquisitor tanking, not the brigand. This would require alot of AA's (50+) and mastercrafted or better eq for the inquisitor. And it would make a nice combo.Healing a brigand can be ok as a inquisitor. I have done it in group situations on a number of occassions. Duo against White or Blue would be very tough however. Certainly requiring top equipment and spells.

<P>I guess my real question here is what is the spell lineup that y'all use when you're healing?  I know with my Warden I alternated b/t my regen heals and big spot heals and that seemed to work.  However, with the Inquisitor I can't seem to find the right combination to keep everyone in the group alive long enough.  </P> <P>Any thoughts?</P>

<DIV>make sure you are using your debuffs.  Inquis have a great series of debuffs the reduce the physical mit of the mob, the STR and INT of the mob, and it's ability to do slash/pierce/crush dmg.  when you reduce the STR and the slash/pierce/crush abilities of the mob, you effectively make it do less dmg, making your heals more effective and efficient.  Also be sure to cast the Repentance line, which effectively stuns and dmgs the mob when it uses CAs.  Combining your debuffs with heals will ensure that you are an efficient and effective healer.</DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>the post u were reading on brig forums was for a battle cleric inq. if i want to i can strip off of most non raid buffed tanks occasionally guardians esp on grp encounters.  i would also like to ask what lvl your spells are cause to heal effectively as a cleric need your reactive at adept 3.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>my suggestion for healing a brigand tank would be grp reactive on pull obedience line debuff single target reactive  repeat single target reactive at this point grp reactive should be up and cast that.  if your healing spells are adept 3 that pattern should hold him up.  make sure to always have obedience line on mob. spot heal where needed with short heal long heal would prolly eat up too much time and mess up reactive pattern imo /shrug depends</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit:</DIV> <DIV>oh a little trick is to cast your single reactive right before u start your grp reactive cast by the time grp goes off single one should be expired just in time </DIV></DIV><p>Message Edited by Echar Elocin on <span class=date_text>01-19-2007</span> <span class=time_text>09:19 PM</span>

well, first thing, have you upgraded your spells?secondly, i think almost any inquisitor even setup as a tank would be hard pressed to keep aggro from a brigand.also, clerics have a much bigger disadvantage healing anyone who has lower mitigation than your average plate tank, since reactives require someone to be hit to heal, low mitigation=bad.<div></div>

From my experience, its a very easy duo.  Im 70 and the Brigand i was duoing w/ was 65.  He was tanking and we were burning down all the way up to 67s, including Zorv and the Overseer of Change(?) in SoS.  I would pre cast grp then target reactive, then he would pull.  Sometimes i would get aggro, but the grp reactive would keep me up while we burned down the mob(s).  I do have the CA EoF line so i can lay down nice damage, 2 interrupts and 3 debuffs in under 5 seconds.  On the named fights, i would root/stifle we would debuff the crap out of the mob and then burn it down.   A few questions though.........1. Are you leveling in EoF, the mobs are a lot tougher.2. Are your buffs ad3/mastered i assume your heals are3. You said your gear was about mastercrafted lvl, is your mit at least 50%?Also from many deaths/experience, blue and white con mobs become a lot easier when you have high quality Ledgendary or Fabled gear, for yellow cons or higher, you gotta have fabled and master spells for a dup to succeed.Good luckInhumanus Nex70 InquisitorBlackguardNektulous server<div></div>

brigands have a spell line - something like baffle adversaries where i *think* it procs and they go down a notch on the aggro list.its easy for them to dodge aggro if they want to. I r not a brigand so im not sure.<div></div>

<DIV>Nobody else has said it yet, so I will....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Inquisitors can't heal as fast as a warden.  The only exception being times when all your reactives trigger quickly and do all their healing at once, but you still have the cooldown to wait for if that happens.  I think of my inquisitor as a melee support class that can heal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you do want to be as successful a healer as possible, debuffs help a lot.  I have found the STR line ability (skull crack I think) to be a big help when healing an avoidance tank.  Aslo the 'green' ability that lowers the weapon skills of your target encounter.   When mobs lose weapon abilities (crushing/slashing/piercing) you lower their chance to land their attacks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Inquisitor and brigand can be successful but on the other hand swashbucklers have better debuffs to offensive abilities so if your biggest problem is that you can't keep up with your heals maybe the swashy would be the better choice.  Brigands are better at defensive debuffs and those debuffs are maximized in a group setting where there are many people experiencing an abilty to do extra damage, but swashbucklers abilities are maximized in any setting where the mob is attacking someone (so pretty much all the time).</DIV>
