<DIV>ok i know that used to be the first buff to go off ina  group and was generally viewed as, pants but now im not so sure.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i see it proc quite a bit, also a ranger in my guild wont allow me to run with out it lol</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so i bit the bullet got the master and have put some points in it fromt he EoF AA lines. its doing alot better than it used to for sure. on fast attacking melee dps it procs lots and makes up a fair % of thier dps. no its not super uber mega cool, but its certainly a semi decent buff these days, from my experience any way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>any one else using it, or have you burned it from your spell books hehe</DIV>

Normally I drop Act of Conviction in favor of using Consecrated Auras on the DPSers in the group for the 20% DPS buff and hit point boost, and also put on Pious and Act of Faith to buff the entire group. Or sometimes I'll even buff myself with Consecrated Aura and pull out the 2-hander for a change of pace. The only time I use Act of Convinction is when I solo.

I'll tell you again how it works, consecrated aura buffs dps, and that buff ONLY works for melees and it ONLY buffs AUTOATTACK, the most dps a melee does he gets by doing CA's.Consecrated aura works for ALL classes and it procs on ANY kind of attack, with decent int and m1 it hits for 400+ dmg, so whats the reason for dropping this buff, please explain. And something else if you wanna drop a buff, drop Fanatic's faith, the only usefull buff on that spell is the 321 hp your group gets, but that doesnt make much difference if average hp in your group is about 8k, the resists on it are useless, its usefull for errr maybe 3/4 raidmobs in the world, and the amount it buffs is ridiculous, some fabled /legendary items you can buff those resists by same amount with just putting on 1 item.<div></div>

<div><blockquote><hr>Ghyro wrote:I'll tell you again how it works, consecrated aura buffs dps, and that buff ONLY works for melees and it ONLY buffs AUTOATTACK, the most dps a melee does he gets by doing CA's.<div></div><hr></blockquote>Act parses for about 2% of over-all damage for a single character very consistently, whether it's a ranger or an inq. Not bad. Typically melee DPS (ranger, brigand, swashie, assassin) classes do anywhere from 10-20% of their damage with regular old melee. If your aura is bosting that by 20%, then over all DPS is up anywhere from 2% to 4%. Granted, ACT is a group buff. For example, if you have three melee DPS classes in your raid group and each is doing 1k DPS:<ul><li>ACT = (2% * 1000 DPS) * 3 = 60 DPS total</li><li>Aura x3 = (2-4% * 1000 DPS) * 3 = 60 DPS to 120 DPS total.</li></ul>Typically, I try to use both if at all possible. If you have many DPS classes, ACT is great. If you have two or less, you're better off using aura.</div>
